Nov. 23: Dangerous Days.

Yes. In fact, it begins to look as though Trump could win re-election. It's hard to know what to think of this. Not that it really matters. The leader for the democrats is  Biden who is the same old, same old that Americans have been electing for many years.

The only change possible among Democrats is Bernie Sanders. The people like him and he does represent useful change. But most of the Democrat party is simply the Republican party in drag.

Watch for much increased violence in the U.S.

Canada now has to kiss up to the U.S. - to fight it's wars and  to cheer for it's puppet rulers in regions like Latin America. There is very little chance that Trudeau will change that, and no chance whatever that the Conservatives will.

Premier Kenny is now on a trip to Texas to attract American oil corporations to Alberta. It's no likely they will. Oil companies are pulling out of Alberta. In the real world, Alberta oil is very, dirty. In fact, it the second dirtiest oil in the world. (The worst is Venezuela. The best is Saudi Arabia. No doubt Albertans will now say the other provinces dirty it's oil.)

For some time now, Alberta has been forced to clean it's oil That's expensive. And that's why Alberta oil is very expensive. And that's why oil biggies  have recently been getting out of Alberta. And it gets worse.

Cleaning Alberta oil releases huge quantities of CO2 into our atmosphere - and that is a major cause of climate change.

All of this is the decline in  the interest in Alberta oil. And that decline in interest, not Canadian hatred, is why employment in Alberta is dying. What is needed now is an Alberta-Canada rebuilding of a healthy and prosperous Alberta. Alas! There seems no chance of this happening.

What blocks the way has been premiers like Kenney who win elections by convincing Albertans that all the other provinces hate them. It's a tradition in Alberta - rather   like Quebec.

All this is a great danger to Canada.....  And I see no reason to place any trust in a Liberal government in Ottawa.

Britain, France, the U.S. all have massive records of murder and plunder and slavery. (The U.S. has created hells in Latin America, the middle east, and in Africa and in the mass murder of it own indigenous population - and is preparing for the final war.) My son-in-law pointed out that perhaps the worst killer and plunderer, considering it's small size, was Belgium in the Congo. Very true. And note that all of them were essentially Christian.

I often think of day in 1945 when the teacher sent me home for being late - and my mother, without a word, took me to a monster street celebration   with people insanely cheering and marching. And that's when I saw the sign. "We've won the war." "Now we've got to win the peace." I was puzzled by the second sign. If we had won the war, surely we had won the peace.

But, as we can see now if we look, we have not won the peace. Capitalism murders and plunders all over the world. And it keeps all the profits for it's billionaires as even as 'rich' nations have massive and growing poverty.

We beat Hitler. But we lost to the greed of our own billionaires. And worse. We still vote for Liberals, Conservatives, Republicans, Democrats who have all been been selling us out from the start.

This is a reminder of the abuse of children in Canada, the U.S. and Britain as late as the 1920s.

I'd feel more cheerful about this if our news media were not controlled by billionaires.

Bolivia is doomed. The U.S. has a large population of Jumpers for Jesus. And it has often turned them loose in Latin America.

Does this sound extreme? It's not. American democracy is almost dead - dead and fried and eaten up by the very wealthy.

Canadians and American have been pretty passive. And there election choices have been close to suicidal. Democracy withered a long time ago. Both Canada and the U.S. have long since permitted the billionaires to rule.

And we are going to pay one hell of a price for that. In fact, we are already paying it with political leaders who cheer us on to destroy essential services so we can shovel more millions into the pockets of billionaires.

Democracy in the U.S. and Canada has been at least something of a farce since the start. And Canadians and Americans just sit there with their thumbs up their rear ends. (The recent federal election in Canada revealed that we are a people quite out of touch with any reality.)

The United States, Britain and Sweden have been torturing Assange to death for years. And Canadians? They just sit there with their faces hanging out.

What they are doing is illegal. Assange's revelation of what the U.S. and Britain were doing in the world was not illegal. It was information we needed (though desperately ignorant Swedes, British, Americans and Canadians made it a point not to read it anyway. This world is full of people who don't like to think.)

And it is a safe bet that other countries are doing the same. So who will the robots kill? They will kill living people on the other side. And most of those will be civilians - men, women and children.

The twentieth and twenty first centuries (so far) are centuries of almost non-stop war. Indeed, I don't even know any reliable opinion of how many wars have been  fought. Why is that so?

Oh, I know, teacher. See - my hand is up. It's because we are good and all the other sides have been evil. duh..... Actually, that's not true.

World War One happened because most of the Europeans were in fierce competition with each other for control of markets. And they all fought each other to beat off competition that could trouble them. That's why German, Britain, France, Austria and others went to war. All of those countries were capitalist, and all were determined to beat off competition.

This had nothing to do with Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South African blacks. No. They were serving the King. Rah! Rah!

That's why Britain and France ignored  promises made at Germany's surrender in 1918, and forced the Germans to pay a crushing war debt. And that was used by Hitler to gain power so that Germany, too, could join the old game of plundering the world; (Actually, the Allies in World War Two had much in common with Hitler. And most countries on both sides in both wars were in them to please their capitalists.)

And World War Two? It was like World War One. In the twenty years of peace, the old national capitalist rivals were back at where they had been in 1914.

Hitler's mass murder of Jews had nothing to do with it. No major western country in the world gave a damn about the Jews. Nor did Canada and the U.S. The war was a war between capitalists on both sides.

The U.S. entered World War 2 for two reasons. American capitalists wanted to control the British colonies in Asia - like China and India. They also wanted the French colony of French Indo-China (Vietnam), and they wanted to plunder them as Britain and France had. The U.S. also wanted the British controlled oil fields of the middle east. (and they got most of them by killing never to be known millions.)

The Korean War was fought (and lost) to get a base to attack China for the plundering that Britain had done for so long. That's why Roosevelt back in 1945 had ordered Britain not to take control of Hong Kong as the war was ending. Roosevelt wanted it for wealthy Americans. (Churchill ignored Roosevelt's order.)

In short, all or mostly all wars fought for the last century and more were fought to make capitalists richer.

But don't waste your time reading your high school history books to learn this.

And now, our capitalists are preparing the grand finale - in the form of oil.
