January 27: Do we have the brains - or courage - to face reality and to change it?

I hesitate to write this. I'm sorry I wrote it. I'm sorry I had to write it. We have one hell of a change to face and, well, we humans are not good at dealing with change.

Maybe the best thing to do is to read only your local newspaper and follow the usual, bland news on your local radio, TV. After all, why work up a rage about the things you'll never read or hear about in your local bland and soothing news source.

I mean, should we really care that the city of Toronto sticks the homeless into tents which, for a start, are really not healthy in winter,  and that fosters stunning rates of pandemic illness. What the hell... let 'em die as they infect each other. Of course, the U.S. government plans to give the millions of the homeless as much as $600 each. At the same time it is giving billions to the super rich. That dwarfs the spending for the sick and hungry.

As an aside, the giving of huge sums of money to the super rich who promptly hide it for themselves has been going on for some years The really rich don't really get just billions. It  now, even as children starve and the poor die, amounts to trillions. That's why the super rich are now making more money than ever in history. And that's why, even as the rich have more wealth than ever,  national wages in the U.S. have not improved in years.

The U.S. of today has a striking resemblance to the Roman mob as it fell into disorder and poverty. Indeed, it resembles all the great empires - Rome, Egypt, Greece, Britain.... At the end of World War Two, the U.S. embarked  on plundering the whole world. That's certainly not a secret. And that is why we live in a world that murders civilians and children and babies by the millions. That's why Africans are starving as their agriculture collapses. (Yes. The agriculture that fed  thousands of generations is breaking down all over the world. It's happening all over the world. In Africa, millions are dying now from starvation. And there is no improvement planned or in sight or even in planning.)

Meanwhile, American billionaires (trillionaires) with routine help from countries like Canada are plundering the earth, completely ignoring the inevitability of destruction of all of us. (And those twits of Canada's military historians have offered their idiocy about how Canada sent troops to Afghanistan to bring democracy. Significantly, our commercial news media never picked up on this story. Well, what the hell! Our commercial news media never picked up on it - or on the Canadian role in crushing a democratic Haiti, or on the CIA slaughter of priests, nuns and missionaires in Guatemala.  A Canadian missionairy who was killed in Guatemala is largely unkown even in his home province of New Brunswick. That's because he's buried in his home town of Bouctouche, a town that founded the Irving billionaire family.  They also own all the newspapers, and the Irvings don't run stories about people who died for good causes.

(Is it really that   cheap and shoddy and petty?   You bet.   The Irvings are also the family who are bombing New Brunswick with poison gas to improve their forestry business. Well, yes. It does do a great deal to poison people and destroy animal  life. But don't look into New Brunswick's Irving press to say anything about that.)

The whole history of human kind is a history of mass murder, of exploitation, of enslavement, of exploitation.... The outstanding example of it today is the super-rich of  the U.S. and it's bum boy, Canada. And there's a crisis on the way.

The U.S. needs to destroy China. It routinely sends warships into waters claimed by China China. - This could well start a nuclear war. Yesterday, a Chinese warship ordered the U.S. to get one of its warships out of Chinese waters. Luckily,  the U.S. backed off. But the presence of American warships - in large numbers - is   very, very dangerous. (What do you think the U.S. would do if China had it's warships parading in, say, New York's harbour? - or even the more remote Pearl Harbour?)

American capitalists are very, very likely to want a war with China. This  is a reality which our news media have rarely bothered to mention.  The U.S. is no longer world's dominant world economy as China is very close  to that dominance.   This is particularly annoying to U.S. capitalists who see Chinese displacing them in an Africa that has had more than enough of the U.S., and even a Latin America that far prefers China to the U.S. As well, much of Europe sees more merit in trade with China than in trade with the U.S .

In short, the U.S. is a fading flower on the world stage. Indeed, it is now destroying even itself as a result of it's presidential election. Alas! The difference between Trump and Biden is not nearly so great as we like to think. And be assured that the capitalists who dominate both American parties are very likely to unite in a final attempt to conquer the world.

The American super rich are determined to go on plundering even their own people - and even especially their own people.

Add to that the devastating effects of climate change (which most of our super rich say isn't happening - wildfires on a scale never before seen, animal destruction, crashing agricultural collapse, poisoning of the earth by oil - - all those things the super rich say aren't happening  - but which ARE happening - and at a tremendous pace.

Democracy is pretty much - a word - and nothing more than a word.

And what will the rich do help the poor and cure this? Get real. They haven't done a damn thing to help anybody but themselves. And we let them do it. This greed and self-serving is and alway has been a product of human minds which place enormous powers on the most wretchedly evil and greedy of humanity.

And I do not hesitate to use the words evil and greedy. This has been a characteristic of  humans - and only humans - from the start as we simply dump the poor and hungry to die  in the streets even as the super rich take greater control over them and the rest of us. This is a history that we are facing just as the Roman mob did. And in almost all wars between Christians for  the last 2,000 years, the churches have supported their side - as Christians supported  the English  (and Canada) in Britain - but the Germans, also Christians, supported Hitler. They have also supported all  the "Christian" wars since the beginning - the British and American and Dutch and French. And they have been remarkably silent as in wars against North America's native peoples. (They were even silent while Americans murdered priests, nuns and missionaries in Guatemala.)

More recently, we and our churches have been silent as we destroy our planet's land, waters, wild life,  climate......, a campaign that ultimately will destroy us, all of us. And we do it for the super greed of our super rich. Wars,  after all, are what create our superrich in the first place.

Wars put all a nation's  wealth at the feet of the rich - to develop their weapons factories, to put all our taxes at the feet of the super rich. (The super rich, of course, pay very little tax as the rest of us pay for their wars.)

Based on that system - which was also the basic system for the British Empire and all the other empires - it has made the super rich even richer. Wars are almost all fought in the interest of the super rich - but only rarely fought by them.

The U.S. has now put uncounted tens of millions of adults, children, elderly to die on the streets. The immense fortunes of the super rich must be kept by the super rich while the government taxes those poor who still have jobs so that the tax money ---can be used to help homeless? ----No. It's so that money can be used to help the super rich to get even richer. In fact, the U.S. (and Canada) have been acting on that principle for almost all of their history - though the U.S. is the one that has been the super lover of the super rich from their start.

The U.S. is murdering and plundering in grand style in the middle east and Latin America with help of Canada - something our Canadian news media prefer not to talk about. And we are almost certainly headed for a war in China.

Is China likely to go to war? It won't have much choice. And it is likely to get support from Russia. Isn't that evil? Maybe. But it's a hell of a lot better than the more than a century and a half of western murdering and plundering of China.

And, oh, there's so much to write about.

China  is communist? So what? Communism is what made it possible for the Chinese to overcome the many years of capitalist plundering.

In a similar case, it was communism that enabled Russia to overcome it's crushing aristocracy. And without that, Russia would probably have lost to Hitler - and that would probably have meant one hell of a defeat to us.

And it's not as if capitalism is as pure as the driven snow. It has maintained the U.S. as a nation of murderers and a humiliater and starver of it's own people. Look at the condition of the American people today - and tell me why you think communism is bad and capitalism is good. (No. I am neither a communist nor a capitalist.)

To those who vote Liberal or Conservative or Democrat or Republican, you have brought us to the gates of their hell. And, oh, the gates are for a final hell this time.

Will the U.S. change? Not likely. Americans, submerged under centuries of myth about how wonderful they are are not likely to dig out of this one. Indeed, the U.S. itself may not be able to continue existence.

Will Canada change? Fingers crossed on that one. I would have no great faith in Trudeau or any province that would elect a Liberal or a Conservative.

And, oh, I'm sorry I had to write this.

Dec. 19: Merry Christmas to all the murdering and theiving leaders of this world.

Consortium news carries the story of a recent study of tax cuts for the rich. The government argument for this is that tax cuts for the rich create a trickle down that means financial benefits for all of us.

But recent studies show they do no such thing. In fact, incomes in the U.S,  especially, have been going down, not up. The super rich have been getting even richer. The rest of us have been getting poorer. All this has been especially marked in the last fifty years. Indeed, it goes back much, much further.

Throughout history the super rich have trashed the poor and even the not so poor. In this past, and even up to this day, the super rich have had nothing but contempt for those beneath them. The ordinary child in Britain - up to the early 1900s - could expect only hard work, long hours, danger, filth and low, low pay from the age of five or six. The same was widely true in Canada and the U.S.

School? Good luck. Our great, great grandparents saw little of any schooling - if they saw any at all. The very rich, of course, have expensive private schools. I well remember my own childhood classes were overfilled (as they still are) and most of my classmates  (and me) never finished school because nobody expected us to. Some of my friends left school as early grade four. There were some as late as grade 9 who couldn't yet read - not even comic books.

The rich kids, of course, grew up in a society which expected private schooling, small classes - and it had children who expected to finish school because finishing is what their social class did. (many years later, I was a university teacher. To my surprise, the rich kids were not particularly smart. The smartest kids I taught were Jewish - who, for the most part, were not rich in those days. But Judaism has a high respect for education.

It's hard to tell because their numbers were smaller, but the Japanese I taught (the victims of Canada's prison camps for Japanese Canadians) were also impressive. One Japanese Canadian I knew back when he got out of the prison camp became a brilliant medical doctor.

Are there rich kids and dumb kids? Maybe. But I'm flexible on that because in high school I was one of the dumb kids that the principal called down to say to me, "Let's face it Decarie, you have no brains at all. Empty your desk and find a job."

Being born into a poor family is what makes a lot of kids dumb. We're about to see lots of dumb kids in the U.S. as millions are turned into the streets. But don't worry about rich kids. They become smart in their expensive schools.

_____________________________

I wrote the above to give meaning to my real point.

Our super rich have taken control of our lives and our destinies. And they have no intention of improving that for the rest of us. And this is not the first time this happened. It's a pattern that has been repeated many, many times for thousands of years.  This was how kings operated, and the emperors of Rome. The common people were made into trash to be abused, used, and tossed aside.

This is happening to us. That's why American (and Canadian) super rich pay minimal taxes - if any. In fact,  the amount they pay has been dropping dramatically for a good, fifty years. While millions lose jobs and are forced onto the streets, the super rich have actually been getting richer. That's why millions of Americans have no homes, no food, no hope. At the same time, the super rich actually have wealth in trillions of dollars. And that's why we live in a world crawling with poverty and human abuse. And, no,  it's not going to get better. Even as you read this, the super rich, the most evil people on this earth, are ensuring that all the wealth goes to them and only to them.

Since 1945, we have had nothing but war. That's largely because the super rich make their money out of war. They murder millions to steal resources - but they don't do the fighting. No. They use the rest of us to become mass murderers for them. (They specialize in murdering children.) They have made Latin America and Africa into horrors for the living. With greed as their only interest, they are destroying this planet. That's no exaggeration. Their abusing  of nature is destroying our oceans, making fatal changes to our climate, destroying the Arctic and the Antarctic, making huge areas unlivable for their crashing by fire. Our Canadian hero, Mr. Irving, is poisoning the land and the forests of New Brunswick - and poisoning  the people and the wild life in the process.

And we, alas, stand by with our faces hanging out. Worse, millions of us have dropped into poverty. And it's not likely to improve.

Remember these names - for Canada, David Thomson makes over 39 billion. Much of that comes from ownership of news media. Think of that next time you buy a newspaper. Lower on the billionaire list, but also the monopoly owner of all news media in New Brunswick is Irving. This year, Canadian billionaires are actually up 37 billion dollars - in just one year. And these are the same billionaires who have been cutting wages for the rest of us.

Another group of major billion dollar players in a very big way is - wait for it - China - which is sweeping American trade off the map.

Merry Christmas. We are living in a typically human period of very evil exploitation, the kind of evil that has always marked our earthly existence. Either we change that now or we go down  with all the failed periods of history.

Check out the story above. (just go to The Intercept on your computer. Checking on the sentence above won't get you anywhere.)

In Afghanistan, highly trained special ops troops, the ultimate American heroes, are being used to lead their Afghanistan allies in night time attacks. These attacks are aimed at residential schools where they murder children as a warning to leave the schools.

That's not original, of course. American heroes have a record now going back some 75 years of very deliberate mass murder of children and babies. (No. I'm not exaggerating. In their days of empire, the British did much the same - in their case inflicting death by mass starvation. Winston Churchill was big on that.)

Funny how our news media never mention these stories.

Our human world has a savage history. We are not, to put it kindly, nice people. For two thousand years we have gone to Christian churches without in the least following the teaching of Christ. Indeed, the Christian churches have always been cheerleaders for our wars. When Christian churches in Canada supported war in `1939, those same churches in Germany supported Hitler. The Jesus jumping U.S. has been mass murdering people for the past seventy years. When did you last hear a sermon on this?

I really have to go back to something I tried briefly some months ago. It involved lifting the news stories, in full colour and text, and letting them tell the stories. I've been finding it a difficult thing to do for this retarded blogger. But I'm searching for someone who can tell me how to do it.

The Evil we worship...

I came across a disappointing but true story today while playing on the computer. I went to the web site  for the Canadian war museum in Ottawa. There, I found a sentence I didn't want to see. The museum had a recent section on the time Canadians sent our troops to the Afghanistan war.

It said that Americans and Canadians went to war in Afghanistan to bring democracy to that country.

This is the purest possible bullshit. And it gets worse. This claim was asserted by eminent Canadian military historians despite the fact that, at the time, nobody even mentioned that as a cause for the war. The truth, as those eminent historians surely knew, was that Afghanistan had beaten off years of Russian attacks.  Nobody in Afghanistan ever heard of democracy or cared about it. Nor did the Canadian government care.

When the Afghanis beat off the Russians, the U.S. burst in to take over what the Russians had tried to do - to take over the mineral wealth of Afghanistan. In fact, that's why the U.S. has massive and expensive armies all over the world. They aren't to help anything but American billionaires - with Canadians getting shares whenever they can.

Did the military historians quoted by the Canadian War Museum know that? Of course they did. To a considerable degree, our military historians are really nothing more than cheerleaders. Afghanistan is just one more propaganda piece for them - just as it was for our news media.

Canadians murdered people in Haiti in order to destroy democracy there. Get ready for the big one. If the U.S. goes to war with China (and it is very likely to), it will be the most horrible killing of adults, children, babies this world has ever seen. It will be a war, like all wars, to benefit the super rich. The history books tell us that we are good and our enemies are evil. The reality is that we are as evil as they come. And, throughout history, the purpose of almost all wars has been to benefit the super rich.

Have you noticed that in this period of impoverishment,  hunger - when millions in the U.S. have plunged into poverty - the super rich are rolling in more money than they have ever had? (No. I'm not exaggerating.)

This is an old story for us humans.

For thousands of years, very rich humans have sent the rest of us into wars to produce wealth - for the very rich. That has characterised all wars. The rest of us pay for the wars with our taxes. Today, for example, the super rich hide the money they should pay as taxes. It's the rest of us who pay the heavy cost of a pentagon, of weapons production, of standing armies... The super rich get the privilege of making fortunes out of the war industries. And in war, it is the rest of us who die in the fighting. That purpose of war for thousands of years has been to enrich the already rich. That's why the wealthy of today's America have stored away uncounted trillions of (note - trillions) of dollars. That's why millions of the American lower classes live on the streets and have to beg for food. That is why much of Latin America and the Middle East suffer horribly and murderously.

And we invent the story that we are fighting for our country or for our Queen. Sometimes we are. More often, as in the oil fields of the middle east, as in Afghanistan, we are fighting - and dying - for the very rich and their unlimited greed.

Will the U.S. go to war with China? Yes.  It will go to war because China has been chewing up what had been American markets. Funny we don't hear about this.

For example, China is now the world's leading nation in trade. Yes. It dominates, among others, Latin America. The U.S. is now number two and going down. This is unacceptable to America's super rich. And they will use war as their response because, as their newspapers tell us, the Chinese are evil. Americans are good.

It will be a war such as never has been seen with civilian deaths that could lead into a billion or more. Canada and others will be invited (ordered) to take part. And a Canadian government bought and owned by Canadian super rich will take part (though none of them will venture into battle.)

The Canadian Legion, which should be working in the interest of the soldiers will, as in the Korean war, be a cheerleader for the super rich. And we, as always, will wave flags and babble about the returning dead as they pass in "Highways for Heroes". (Even now, we are working as agents of the American super rich in the middle east and along the Russian border.)

Humans have, from their earthly start, have been abused and exploited by their own. And for thousands of years this has been monstrously exploited by the super wealthy. And we may well be in the final stages of this as we bow to the super-rich and their passion for control and for unlimited greed.

This Christmas, millions of Americans will go hungry as they try to survive in the streets. But be of good cheer. The super rich (New Brunswick's Irving springs to mind) will be enjoying their richest Christmas ever.)

Dec. 13:Too much to say....

It's a mad, mad, mad, mad world.

(Forgive me. I gave brief start to this post, but soon drifted off into the evil of our very wealthy. And they are very evil, indeed. I really should put in a section on these people, on the power they have inflicted on us in the past - and the horror that now is very close.)

The Canadian government gave Irving of New Brunswick a shipbuilding contract for the Canadian navy. The value was about 10 billion dollars.  But the Irvings never settle for a lousy 10 billion. The cost to us taxpayers is now close to 80 billion. And watch for it to grow. New Brunswick has no money for it's homeless and starving. But, like, you know, New Brunswickers will die to make the Irvings happy.

Strangely, Canadian seldom hear about our leading capitalists. (Partly, that's because they own newspapers like The Globe and Mail  and all the newspapers in New Brunswick, so naturally, they're shy,)

Top dogs are David Johnson, Joseph Tsai, Galen Westen, James Irving - and so it goes. And they're all to shy to appear in the news (which many of them either own or control. That's why honest reporters have gone off to write for the sort of news media I look through. But, while the rest of us are heading out to sleep in fields, Our billionaires, like the American ones, are making the biggest money they have ever made. They also own the best known journalists in Canada, (the ones who are the most gutless journalists in Canada.)>

.....which makes me think. We need to show more respect for our billionaires. And I've thought of a great national anthem to make us more respectful of our masters.

"You made me what I am today.

I hope you're satisfied.

You dragged and dragged me down until

The soul within me died.

You shattered every hope and dream

You fooled me from the start.

And though you're not true

May God bless you.

That's the curse of an aching heart."

Information Clearing House is, perhaps, the best news source on the web. Check out it's story on Israeli treatment of Palestinian children. In violation of all law and decency, Israel has held many, many thousands of Palestinian children in solitary confinement for interrogation that can last for two weeks and more. In that time they are permitted no lawyer - and the interrogation procedures can be severe.

Israel is doing what Hitler could not manage - destroying all the values and principles of Judaism. The final touch will be American supplied weapons to utterly destroy Palestine for a 'greater' Israel.

_____________________________________________________________

In Consortium News, millions of Americans caught in this crisis are being kicked out of their homes and into the streets. No. They aren't the rich ones. No, the American and Canadian super rich have been making their biggest profits in history. It's the rest of us who are getting kicked out. If Mr. Irving want billion or so, he simply has to ask. To hell with everybody else.

The world has probably never seen a festival of poverty and greed to match this. Children, the elderly, the sick - who gives a damn? And it's going to get worse, much worse.

______________________________________________________________

Mind you, there's lots of money for weapons. Children may starve. But warehouses are packed with weapons. In the U.S. in particular, we have never seen so much money being spent for weapons.

Of course. Weapons mean military power. And the American wealthy very much want wars to make themselves richer. In particular, they want war with China. No. It's not because China is a threat. It's because China has actually passed the U.S. in it's world trade.

The American super rich can't allow that. But the super rich have no intention of paying for a war. They never have. They have always expected the general public to put up their money to fight the wars of the rich. It's the general public who pay for the weapons, who put up their tax money. And it's the super rich who bleed their countries dry to fight their wars. Indeed, the rich and the children of the rich are seldom to be found in combat. They use the rest of us to do that, too.

We pay taxes so the super rich can kill at our expense while all the profit of war goes to them.

American children are starving and homeless in their millions? Tough.

What's that? China is evil? That's because the British and Americans have been making it evil for almost 250 years. China did not make itself evil. We did that. In 1945, we could have helped China to rebuild itself,  and to welcome it to the world.

But we didn't do it.

Instead, we attempted to conquer China just four years after World War Two. That's what the Korean war was all about. It was meant to be a duplicate of all the Chinese had suffered from under the horrors of British conquest.

For 70 years American capitalists have been eager to conquer and plunder China. And that, incidentally, is what Canadians died for in Korea. Too bad the Canadian legion has never figured that out.

The wars have been going on for thousands of years. They are the wars of the greedy and ruthless who have been drawing the rest of us in for all those thousands of years. Almost all wars are like that. You think the U.S. joined World War Two because it thought Hitler the Japanese were evil?

Get real

Today, the super rich need our money again - not to feed the hungry, not to educate the children - no. We need it so the super rich can murder a billion or so Chinese and convert the survivors into cheap labour for our capitalist bosses. That's why the American super rich entered the war in Asia. It was to grab the British empire in Asia. And they entered the war in Europe to save the Jews? Come off it. Americans didn't give a damn about the Jews. What they wanted, among other things, was the oil rich British empire in the Middle East. And they got it, happily murdering millions among the peoples of that region.

That's the world we created - you know - when we brought peace and joy and goodness to the world in 1945. And we haven't stopped killing since.

We now live in a world of greed and murder.  It's a world in which the super rich have stuffed the wealth into their own pockets even as the victims in their own countries suffer homelessness and massive starvation. It's a world in which we have abandoned everything we said we fought for in World War Two.

And, oh, what delusions we dream up.

Remember Canada's Highways of Heroes? These are the roads which carried the Canadian dead from Afghanistan. I don't criticize the soldiers for this idiocy. I do criticize the rest of us.

There was no reason for Canadians to be sent to Afghanistan. For that matter, there was no reason to send Americans, either. The people of Afghanistan had just fought a brilliant war against Russia - and won. So why did the U.S. jump in along with Canada to attack the Afghanis?

That, unreported in our news, was because American capitalists wanted certain minerals that existed in Afghanistan. This was, pure and simple, a war for American capitalists to steal the resources of Afghanistan. Why did Canada take part? That's because Canada commonly fights American wars since 1945. Indeed, Canadians have been used more widely than we ever hear about.

There was nothing glorious about our parades of the Canadian war dead. We had signed on for a useless war which had nothing to do with Canada. The dead were heroes? I'll give them that. But not so the rest of us who sent them off in a war that had nothing to do with us.

For thousands of years, the kings and emperors and politicians and capitalists have used the rest of us to fight wars that benefit only them. Now, we live in a world choked by their wars. Now, we're on the edge of their most terrible wars -against, for example, China and Russia. (We have already made the most terrible horror of Latin America, Africa...in the coming years, perhaps weeks, we will hear of dreadful starvation rates in Africa and we will continue to do almost nothing about it.)

The super rich have risen to an astounding level. And they have shown no interest, none whatever, in the survival of the rest of us. And we have very little time to wake up.

________________________________________________________________

_I must also sometime soon, write a piece on the Christian churches which have had no impact whatever on anything. They have always supported their own political leaders  - as the Christian churches of Germany supported Hitler, as the American churches of today do nothing to criticize the evils of the U.S., as American and Canadian churches have never  taken a position to support native peoples.  What a collection of wimps!

December 9: Thou shallt not kill - unless there's a profit to be made

This is a short one because I have run into some terrible computer problems. I hope to be back among the living in two or three days.

American billionaires have made over a trillion dollars since March. Isn't that nice?

Of course, somebody had to suffer for this.  The ones who suffered are  the elderly, the children, the millions of whole families who are sleeping in the streets and begging for food, the millions more all over the world who are going to get no help from us. When are we going to learn?

The super rich are running loose as they have been running loose for thousands of years. This is an old story. And this is evil.  Yes. Evil. A bill Gates is not cute or ambitious. He is evil. And millions have been sickening and dying (and millions more will die from the greed of these super rich. Think of  Latin America, the middle east, all the countries collapsing into poverty Think of,   almost certainly, a billion or more who will die in China. (Yes that many will die to meet the greed of the super rich.) When are we going to wake up? Think of the piled bodies of children and babies. The have been major targets of our wars.

Our capitalists are not just greedy. They are murderers on a ghastly scale. And you're on their list, and your children are. We should have dealt with this in 1945. Think about it.

China for example, had suffered  hunger, plundering, abuse from almost 150  years of horrible suffering at the hands of the British. We    could have  helped China recover from the horror. Instead, the U.S. plunged in with an invasion in 1949. And in every year since that it has poured hatred and suffering on the Chinese. (and no. I do not praise our brave Canadian soldiers who fought in Korea. More likely, I feel terrible sorrow for those Canadians who were sent by our politicians to murder Chinese - and to die.)

In 1945, we coud have changed the future and helped China to repair the years of British and then Americans. That would have given us all a good future. Instead, we are more likely to see the most horrible war ever.

And it is not just the Chinese who will suffer. It is all of us as the super rich pour out on us the greed they have poured  on almost all the nations of the world. We are now in our most savage and destructive stage.  And it will destroy us as surely as it has been destroying humanity for thousands of years.

Oh, and note how it has destroyed Christianity along the way.

Our world is closing on us

You think Joe Biden's a great guy compared to Trump. Actually, he may well be worse. He has a long history a war puppet for  the super rich. Trump was scared of war. That's why Iran and Venezuela 0h,- and China - survived at a time when American billionaires wanted to murder and plunder them.

No. Trump was not a peace lover. I think it possible he was and is very scared. Most American presidents since the earliest days have been war mongers with a great love of murdering, first, their native peoples, then the Philipines, then Latin Americans. Ever since (especially after world war two, US governments have been a wild spree of murder and plunder. All of it with the full support of the Democrats and Republicans - and agents of those parties who deliver on what the capitalists want. Joe Biden was and is one of those messenger boys for the wealthy.

And oh, they like murder ---of enemy soldiers, of women, of children,  of babies.

Trump was different only in his cowardice. That's why when the war talked about was with the Venezuelans, Iranians ,even Chinese, he always backed off.

To get a picture of this on the web, go to Counterpunch, Dec. 3.The story is at the centre, several centers down.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

While you're at that page scroll down (just a short scroll on the left side for Dec. 3. It's about the Haiti police beating up and some times killed Haitians.) I haven't seen this story in our Canadian newpapers. And we, almost certainly, never will.

Not long ago Haiti was a democratic country. Then the US insisted this would have to be "tightened". The US didn't want to do such a thing - to destroy democracy. to murder the locals. So it told Canadian leaders to get off their butts and kill people who had the nerve to think they had rights. And so the Canadian government pulled down it's pants as a sign Canadians could kiss American asses.

Canada sent soldiers and RCMP. They beat, arrested, murdered Haitians who believed in human rights and democracy.

Funny thing. Canadian reporters never reported this to Canadian readers.

The U.S.  has warships, a large fleet of them, in Chinese waters. That's an act of war. Why are some people in the U.S. so anxious for a war with China?

That's because the American empire is in collapse, The rising world power is no longer the U.S. It's China. Yes. What's happening is the capitalist U.S. is losing out to a communist China. Isn't that evil of the Chinese?

The expansion of China, once the basket case of the world,  has been amazing in the last seventy years. Capitalism had savaged China for a cemtury and a half. Now, the U.S. is China's biggest customer. American capitalists are not amused. They are particularly not amused by China's trade growth in western markets as well as eastern ones.

Worse - China has been moving in on trade routes to the western world.

And that can't be accepted because God blessed America,  not China.

And the solution is - a massive destruction of China by the U.S. armed forces supported by the usual ass kissers like Canada. That massive destruction is still possible due to American stockpiles of nuclear weapons that could kill at least a billion Chinese, maybe more, men, women and children. (Mind you - this is the same U.S. that got kicked out of Vietnam and which hasn't been able to defeat it's small number of Afghanistan enemies in 20 years.)

It is not a coincidence that U.S. war manufacturers want Joe Biden as president. He's been their bully boy from the start.

__________________________________________________________________

Now, let's take a look at the most serious problem we face - the growing reality of our failure to deal with climate and other changes.

For a start, go to rabble.ca on your computer. There is the excellent question that most of our leaders have failed to deal with. Our forest are disappearing. Our prized assets  like gasoline are killing us - and that killing is also on top of our killing people in other countries for getting in our way. Life species, some 500 of them are disappearing. Our abandoned plastic is killing our world - and killing us.

Our Arctic ice is disappearing and, with it, it's animal life is disappearing.

We need  all those other animals in our world if we are to survive. But we're killing them. We're destroying the whole world - and that's destroying us. The worst killers are irresponsible billionaires - like the Irving family in New Brunswick. and premiers like those of Ontario and Alberta. (As these people kill, they kill us.) Has the U.S. killed millions in the middle east? It daily kills a hell of a   lot more of lost souls as the billionaires carry out their greed. And eventually, it will kill them.

How much time do we have to deal with this?

Nobody knows. But it's probably not much.

The article I began this with is one by the current boss of the Irvings. Is he intelligent? Well  educated?  Not very. When I first heard of him, he was dropping out of school to get rich on his daddy's oil business. For a contrast, let's take a look at one of his critics, David Suzuki.

Suzuki finished school - all the way to a PhD. He has spent all his life studying Canada  - fields and forests and climate. While he did that Irving was poisoning the land with aerial bombing, was destroying huge forests that we need in order to survive, was filling the province with the lies told by his party (He owns all the newspapers and they never criticize him.) In effect, he owns the provincial and the federal governments to hand out millions of dollars for him even as families are being dumped in the streets.

He is the incarnation of evil, that evil of streams of greedy humans, of dukes and earls and emperors and kings going back for uncounted thousands of years.

And we are now at the final edge.

Check out Suzuki.

November 29: A better world under Joe Biden?

 Get real.

For a start, He and his wife had a good income, but not a sensational one right up to 2017. And that was the year he did well with an income of 11 million. Wasn't that nice? It isn't clear how he earned that. But it was nice.

2018 was slower at 4 million. But it was nice enough to make him feel easy about buying a 2.7 million dollar vacation home. And,  in fairness, we should note that he, unlike Trump, paid taxes.

Since then he seems to have earned less, though it's hard to find figures.  However, Biden was the contact for billionaires who wanted favours from the federal government.

And his views on war? He's a big fan of it, partly because wars make profits for large corporations. And that makes him a  booster for this 75 years war in which we've been killing millions to make billionaires happy. that's why, in fact, the U.S. military places a special emphasis on killing civilians, chilren, and even babies.

No. The election of a Biden will make no change of direction from mass murder and theft. It is also likely that Biden will have far more interest in a China war than Trump ever did. And there may be some very surprising elements in that case.

American business leaders are still obsessed with a determination to conquer (and plunder) the world - all of it.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Meanwhile, 50 million Americans from babies to the elderly are homeless. A high proportion of those are without food. (Canada is much better - but still fairly inactive in dealing with poverty. It has 35,000 on a typical night. though it can be much higher if one also counts those who spend a smaller number of nights in any period of less than a year.

Children growing up in this situation are unlikely to do well in school, and commonly don't finish even elementary. I notice that because I was a child of a similar period - the great depression. Few, very very few of us finished school. Nor did our teachers and schools expect us to. Some were leaving in grade four. Growing up in that atmosphere, I flunked grade 10, repeated, and was expelled in grade twelve.

Mind you, it was just us Christian kids who performed badly. Jewish kids did better than us. Their parents had a great respect for education. Unlike our Christian parents, they expected and encouraged excellent performance.

__________________________________________________________________

The American press has paid very little attention to Biden's record. And I've noticed  little attention to it even in a columnist I would normally praise like Gwynne Dyer. Generally, Biden seems to be regarded as a real sweetheart.

Taint so.Elections are won by money, not morality. Biden's background is that he was the errand boy to get money from very rich people to win elections. And I expect he will repay that pepping up of wars that have slacked off a bit, and he he'll repay it by handing out profitable defence contracts. That's the way the game works.

Canada's Liberals and Conservatives do the same, though in a more secretive way.

Canadian politicians get away with it because Canadians have always been polite and quiet, and because our press never even mentions this to us. Unlike Americans, most Canadians have very little sense of the corruption and and evil of our capitalists. There are few Canadians who can even name more than one or two of our capitalists. The exception,  the one who is widely known, is Irving of New Brunswick. But that's because he owns the press of his province, and points exactly where they are to kiss him.

Capitalism is simply a variant of a corrupt and immoral development that goes back to our earliest ancestors. Our mentalities produce unlimited people who obey, and a tiny group that uses and abuses the rest of us.

It's been like that for uncounted thousands of years. Thus we have rather few kings but lots and lots of peasants. The peasants die, often while doing service to the king - and sometimes, as in ancient Rome, simply lived in filth, poverty, and early death.

It is not surprising that tens of millions of Americans live in filth, hunger and poverty - and early death. Nor is it suprising that the rich of North America have been increasing their wealth at a record pace even as I write this column.

Yes. A Joe Biden is an errand boy for the super rich. And yes, Canadians make the Irvings happy by throwing money at them.

Most Canadians don't have the faintest idea who these people are. But they are the ones who plunder and abuse the rest of us. And it can pile up in 70 rears. In Canada and the U.S. it's not millions of dollars - and not billions. The real number for the last seventy years of pillage is somewhere way up in the trillions. The super rich are allowed to pile this up - enough money to feed and house billions of people over much of the world.

That's a pattern of greed and plunder and misery and early death for the greater part of humanity. The basis of the latest outburst of all this is that in these very tough times, the super rich have reached their grandest lead in wealth that ever there was. And, in North America, they are keeping every penny for themselves.

And on the international scene? They are starving hundreds of millions all over the world. They've been on this rampage for 70 years and more.

And now they can destroy all of us. In addition to all the above, they have drooled over the most powerful weapons in history. It was about 30 years ago we learned we had to get those weapons under control and we had to get the distribution of   wealth under control. And, thirty years later, we have almost nothing under control.

And Canada? We help Americans by killing Latin Americans to keep them in line.

And we've actually murdered Haitians and Afghanis and Koreans for reasons that have nothing to do with us. And much of this happens because our news media so often lie to us. Of course; almost all our news media lie to us. That's because they are  owned by billionaire newspaper owners. Sorry. Trillionaire newspaper owners

_________________________________________________________________

Sorry. I lost track on this blog. But I had to say all the above. We in Canada, in the U.S., in much of Europe, have allowed ourselves to be trapped in a system of lies and world power. And we have decisions which our leaders refuse to look at and which can well destroy all of us - soon.

We live in a world largely governed by evil. And it always has been. The name of the system changes - Kings, emperors, aristocracy --all in known history have been created by cruel and evil people, almost always of the higher classes. So it was in the British Empire even as most of the English people suffered and died under terrible living conditions. So it was as the U.S. recruited armies from all over the world to help them plunder and destroy China - and they lost. So the U.S. now murders (yes. these are prime targets) men, women and children all over the world.

Our world has always been evil. But the evil has never before been as powerful as it is now. 50 million Americans live in the streets or in tents with little money for food. Millions more are in jeopardy. Uncontrolled climate change is  destroying basic food production all over the world. The super rich don't care. They're making their greatest profits in history.

Do we have the time left to deal with our needs? I don't know. And the very rich don't give a damn.

Our ruling classes produce irreponsible and greedy leaders like - Donald Trump. And like  Joe Biden. Like, say, the Irvings of New Brunswick, the Doug Fords of Ontario, and most of the population of Alberta. Funny how most of this doesn't make our news media.........

But as I began today's blog, I realized I had to mention the enormous evil of those who have power over us. And who understand only evil.

Politically, I'm not at all with the Republicans or Democrats or Conservatives or Liberals. Politically, I'm with the NDP, though I don't see much future for it in the world we have created.

Nov. 24 Just Thinkin'....

The text below is the third copy of the blog I prepared. Three of those copies immediately appeared on the screen - then disappeared, seemingly to cancel my account of Britain, the U.S., and narcotics in China. So I'm trying it all again.______________________________________________________

I know I said I would break off for a bit. But as I follow the U.S. election campaign, I realize there are things we need to learn about our current elections and the American one. For openers, the U.S. is not a democracy, and never has been. (ditto for Canada.)

George Washington was not a believer in democracy. He was an upper-class man of English descent. With that background, he was,of course, a man who respected only the rich. That's why many Americans in the first election were denied the right to vote - because they were poor.  That's why most of the winners in the first were  rich. So it is  today with both American parties in the Senate and Congress dominated by a high proportion of millionaires.

Yes. The first American president was at heart a typical Englishman of the aristocracy  who had nothing but contempt for anybody who wasn't rich.

The contempt for 'lesser' people also surfaced in the form of a Lieutenant-Colonel of the U.S. army, George Armstrong Custer. He and his regiment were sent west after the North-South war. His assignment was to destroy native tribes in a region the government had decided to take over. Actually, it was not American territory - but noobody in government cared about that.

Almost certainly, his assignment was also to massacre all men, women and chidren, maintaining the George Washington principals of destruction of native peoples. For some reason, Custer left over half his force at a position way back of the Little Big Horn where he intended to meet the enemy. That's why the troops who followed him all died. So it was that Custer became a (dead) hero.

So the U.S. sent a larger force, killing most of the native peoples, including children. God Bless America. Funny how the world's  Christian churches have never noticed this behaviour of it's parisioner.

Some twenty years later, the U.S. would turn it's attention to murdering and plundering the people of Latin America. Then after 1945, it would turn it's murdering and plundering to activities in Africa and, scarcely noticed, to China.

This really began in the late nineteenth century when the British controlled China. The British wealthy, always eager to make money out of China hit on the idea of opening up the market to narcotics. There were lots of them in other British colonies in the region and cheap to get and, oh, very profitable. So it was that British capitalists opened up a huge trade in narcotics. (And I notice the British churches paid no attention to that.)

It became hugely profitable in China with  drug houses becoming homes for addicts. (And, as readers of Sherlock Holmes will have noticed, they did well in Britain, too.)

When the western powers chose Chiang Kai Shek as their ruler of China, he became far the wealthiest drug dealer in the world. Chiang was the man who, during World War Two and for a short time after ruled China. and who became the western agent for plundering China.

But he lost that all when Mao Tse Tung chased him off into the tiny state of Taiwan. But the drug trade into China went on with American help. And that, right up to now, is something Chinese governments don't want. The trade in narcotics, though illegal in China, still has a substantial market with the help of American and British capitalists. And to the Chinese government, this is a huge step backwards into the horrible days of British rule.n no way at all have the British or Americans helped China. In some 150 years of colonial rule Britain enslaved, starved and murdered the people of China. And when the U.S. immediately tried to take over (the Korean war) the U.S. did and still does all it can to cripple China.

Ever wonder why China hates the British and Americans?

No. Our side is not the good guys. We never have been. Throughout some 3,000 years we know of - and probably more - we humans have been ruled by a tiny group of greedy and ruthless men (almost all men).Today, most of them are called Billionaires, And we are their servants. In Canada, they own our Liberal and Conservatives parties. In the U.S. they own the Republicans and Democrats. They create the wars that the rest of us die for. And they're all the same - whether they decide to murder hundreds of millions as the British empire did, Or whether they decide to murder millions for now as the U.S. is doing - and as it is preparing to do  for  the greatest and most bloody war in history -the war on China.

(Oh, a great many of them are not billionaires. They are trillionaires. But they hide most of their money, and leave the rest of us to starve. The last 70 year have been very good for the American and Canadian ones as their wealth has grown steadily, while most of us have been experiencing a constant drop in the value of our salaries while the super rich, even now, are making their biggest profits in history.)

_______________________________________________________________

The story of narcotics in China.

In the eighteenth century, Britain enslaved Chinese labour, murdered anyone who got in the way and generally made a feast of the corpse that was China. But British capitalists wanted even more. Their  even more was to harvest the narcotics from their other colonies (very cheap) and force them into the Chinese market at a higher price. And, oh, it was successful.

To that, they added  narcotics boarding houses - which consisted mostly of bunk beds with rows if druggies in stupors. And, oh, it made money. China was, after all, the world's biggest market by far. The system even opened up, though to a much lesser degree, in Britain itself as any reader of the Sherlock Holmes stories will know.

In the nineteeth century, the British hired Chinese to operate the system. That led to their favourite pick, a pro-British  drug dealer and ruler named Chiang Kai Shek. With British help, he soon became, perhaps, the biggest drug dealer in the world. But the rise of communism had Chinese leaders interested in a more sober population.   After all, a nation stoned is not likely to accomplish much.

By the 1950s the British had become a minor factor in hitting at the Chinese market.  So we are left with a China that still suffers heavily from narcotics addiction encouraged, this time encouraged by the U.S. Not as bad as it was. But bad.

Does this give any hint of why China rather dislikes Britain and the U.S.?

Nov.20: sinning and repenting.

When I began this blog many years ago - and until recently - it had a huge audience over much of the world. Canadians were small potatoes. But that audience became quite different just a couple of months ago. I ceased to be international, and even as a Canadian site,it is read only by a small number of Canadians.

Until a short time ago, it featured world news, including the  pictures and columns that appeared with it. Then that, somehow, disappeared. Makes a guy think, sort of...

....but it took quite a while to make me think.

So for a start,   I've contacted a computer repair place to find out how to get these pictures and stories back on to my blog to make it more colourful and more interesting.

I'll also be paying more attention to the concepts of capitalism and communism. I'm not pushing eiither of them - but looking forward to being more realistic about them.

When I  was teaching in Hong Kong, I was astonished at the poverty and misery of much of the population. I got to know the governor's right hand man (we were related by marriage) who had nothing but contempt for the people. At night, I looked down miles of streets lined with cardboard that whole families slept on. These were home. I saw elderly men sleeping in parks in wire cages, each cage just high enough to roll into. Looking out hotel window, I could see children playing on an unfenced roof tops

. They lived in dreadful and unsanitary shanties built on the roof top. (no toilets, no nothing.) That was capitalism at work.

When I was up in communist Biejing, I saw scenes much like that. More recently, the pictures of Beijing show stunning progress.Housing, good housing, is universally available at low prices in communist China. Chinese schools and universities are world class.

We are raised to a belief that capitalism is good; communism is bad. Well, there are no people sleeping in the streets in communist Beijing. But in capitalist U.S. and Canada, millions sleep in the streets. I'd like to find some time learning about things I  find curious. Why do we think capitalism is good and communism evil?

Capitalism has been the major cause of both world wars. Capitalism has murdered and enslaved all over Latin America and Africa. British capitalists for over a hundred and fifty years murdered and plundered China.  In fact, almost all wars since 1800 have been capitalist. (Don't bother asking Canadians or Americans about this. Very few have any idea what the word means.)

Oh, I know. Capitalism is good. That's why we kill people who aren't capitalists.

_________________________________________________________________

To sum up, I'm now arranging to get help from pros on how to make my site more satisfying and attractive, to open myself up to a wider understanding. And hoping to get that done soon.

Nov. 18: Human Villainy and Computer ---damn computers...

This computer is driving me crazy. All sorts of functions just won't work. In the pararaphs below, for example, there is a huge gap - and then some more  paragraphs will show up. And nothing I can do will bring those two paragraphs together. And I constantly get other oddities in my computer behaviour.

So I am sending this as it is, and taking my computer into a repair shop with a list of the problems I'm encountering.

_________________________________________________________________

Much of the western world,  including Canada and the U.S. is attracted by a  movement to make anti-semitism illegal. To bad they don't know what it means.

Oh, Jews are semites- meaning semitism is the Jewish language. But there's a catch. Semitism is not just a Jewish language. It's also, among others, the language of arabs.

And right now, Israeli Jewish are the ones who are attacking the semites of the arab world. They have stolen Arab lands, murdered arabs, made any sort of economy impossible, bombed factories, schools all over Palestine, stolen their homes and their.

There was a time, not long ago, when Jews and Arabs lived together in peace and even friendship. Of course. They had a long friendship in the land they shared. Then the other Jews of the west came in. Western countries like Canada, the U.S., and Britain didn't want them in 1945. (They probably still don't want them.) So we shipped them off to Palestine- and loosed theit rage on the Palestinians , to steal their lands and homes, to abuse those who stayed in what is now Israel. to now kill Arabs almost on a daily basis.

The Palestinian arabs have been suffering their own holocaust. And we (self) righteous ones are about to make it worse.

Yes, we do need to attack anti semitism. But we should first take the trouble to find out who semites are.

___________________________________________________________________

It is dreadfully frustrating to follow American politics while retaining hope for anything we have seen from Democrats and Republicans.

For a start, the cost of the election so far has been at least 3 billion dollars. Almost all those'contnributions come from  very small number of very wealthy capitalists. All those capitalists give money to be into close terms with the parties, and to get legislation they want. In other words, the very rich buy off the governments - and nobody gives a thought to what the voters think or need.  In fact, buying American governments has long since been an industry in the U.S. (as is buying governments in Canada.)

As democracy, this is pure farce. Elections are not about what Americans need or want. It's about what billionaires want. And they want just about everything. One area they want to control is war so they can expect the American people to fight,  kill for and die  - with the American people paying the price in the costs of war, and getting no rewards from it. (No - billionaires don't usually pick up the tab for their wars. That comes from ordinary people (and often Canadians) to pick up the tab. That's why the U.S. has no money to spare for the homeless. That's why American incomes have been dropping in relation to market incomes since 1950 or so. And that's why the super rich have been gettiing richer while millions lie in the streets.

We should have known about this many years ago. But almost all our news media are owned by the super rich. (It's the same in Canada with the Liberals and Conservatives.) The NDP and the Greens are  honest.  That's why they can't get honesty from the wealthy.

We are prisoners and victims in our own countries. Have you noticed how little our governments have done about climate change? It has been a serious issue since 1990 - and we have scarcely done a damn thing. Oil has become something bloody dangerous to encourage. But nothing happens because the oil companies and their puppets like Ontario's Doug Ford, make sure nobody does anything.

Schools are understaffed and, despite promises from years ago when I was a grade school teacher. govrnments have never lifted a finger to make improvements. Billionaires get more billions in government gifts. Schools get nothng.

That's why we have to live with climate change which, among other things, is killing people all over the world as it has.

Now, slide down, way down for the rest of this.

That's why our tropical storms and forest fires are going out of control all over the world. And that's just an early stage. In the next three years, climate change will rise to its second and third change stages. The third change will kill millions all over the world.

Wild life has been in decline? Wait till you see what it will  be like in just 2 more years. And our oil billionaires will do nothing even as the human death rate soars.

That's when we'll see more of something that has already begun, The super rich will move down to gentler climates in huge and elaborate underground palaces. In fact, it's already begun.

The super rich are the greediest and most evil of all human types. They have abused the rest of us for thousands of years. And the rest of us just sit there with our faces hanging out. This is the greediest and cruelest stage of human history.   And, in parties like the Liberals, Conservatives, Republicans and Democrats.we face an arrogance and greed. And we do nothing.

That has already killed millions, especially killing children and babies in Latin America and the middle east. (And our self righteous news media routinely denounce China as evil.) In the near future, the greed we have created in the middle east,  combined with climate change,  will be killing uncountable millions of men, women and children. Some estimates run over a hundred million.

We are evil.

Oh! You're critical of China?  It certainly has it's faults. But it, for the first time in centuries, is properly housing and feeding it's people. That's a hell of a lot better than the British did in their long plundering of China. It's a lot better than the U.S. would have done if it had conquered China in the 1950s. It's a lot better than the U.S., Canada, Britain and the "Christian" world have done in tossing their homeless adults and children out in the streets to starve in misery.

Nov.13: Save the cheers.

 https://www.commondreams.org/news/2020/09/15/25-trillion-theft-study-shows-richest-1-americans-have-taken-50-trillion-bottom-90

Forgive me for this very incomplete report. I  am having a terrible time in figuring how to use my new computer - including such things as giving a full report instead of the scrawny statement above.

The story is that the richest 1 percent of Americans in the last 35 years or so have taken 50 trillion dollars from the bottom 90 percent of Americans. Well, it's actually worse than that as salaries have been dropping ever since World War Two. That is why American salaries have been plunging  ever since that war. That's why worker salaries are less than half what they would have been if the salary scale of 1945 had been maintained.

And it's been made a lot worse as American capitalists have crushed school  budgets. (Ditto in Canada. In 1957, I became a school teacher. My classes were an oversized 30 plus. The school board assured us that this would be changed as we increased the budgets and reduced class sizes. But in all these years later, virtually nothing has been done.)

But life for billionaires has been much better. They can live almost tax-free. Indeed, they are even allowed to hide their money in secret banks. They easily get government money every year in the billions which they can use as they like. In the US today, where common people live in poverty and, even worse, on the streets, they get now help. Meanwhile, the super rich - in both Canada and U.S., are having great years

Why are governments so generous to billionaires? That's because most governments are owned by the rich. Elections cost money. Big money. And that comes to our Liberals, Conservatives, Democrats and Republicans from the super-rich. Canadian parties like the NDP don't get that money - except in the form of donations from ordinary people like you and me who can't afford big donations.

That's why a family like the Irvings of New Brunswick can buy and own governments. That's why Biden can beat Trump. And that's why Biden won't be doing much as President. He was bought and paid for from the start.

And, while we sit around with our faces hanging out,we are destroying ourselves.

Common sense should tell us this. We are heading for one hell of a crash.

And the American and Canadian people? You would think they would know they're being ripped off of trillions of dollars. But no. They've been dozy for centuries and show no sign of waking up.

And where does this take us? The greed and evil of a very small number of people, the corruption of most of our politicians, have been destroying us for thousands of years. We are now on the edge of the final crash of the evil we have worshipped for all the evil years of emperors, kings. czars, for a world we have allowed the richest and most evil among us to run. And that could come as early as the final war on China and Russia. (Watch for a possible big move from Trump on China in his remaining time.)

_________________________________________________________________

Last night I watched the demonstration of a million people in the area of the White House. They were not angry at Trump. No. They were there to cheer him. Consider, too, that many more millions who might have joined them couldn't afford the time or the money. We're watching a breakdown of American democracy - a democracy that was never all that democratic in the first place.

Remember, too, that large numbers of democrats have always been  of much the same values as Republicans.

Oh, and remember the many millions of weapons, even including machine guns, even artillery (I visited many gun stores in the U.S.) sold to  Americans, In huge numbers, they are on Trump's side.

No, the election isn't over. Not by a long shot.

And remember - the Democrats have never been much different from the Republicans. Both parties have always been the errand boys for the super rich. And I would rather not think of what that bodes for Canada. (Oh, fear not for the Canadian super -rich. They are the same breed as the American ones. And that takes us quickly to the final war against China and Russia).

All that Canadians died for in World War Two has been thrown away as our super rich thought it more profitable to fight more wars. Too bad the Canadian Legion has never understood that. Instead, it has clapped hands as even more Canadians have been killed.  But, like the Legion, like many Canadians, there are war historians who believe that war is glorious.

Meanwhile, God Bless America remains what it is possibly the most warlike nation in the world. That began in 1620 with the arrival of the pilgrim fathers from Britain. Since then American wars have been non stop - first against the native peoples who greeted them, and a gradual spread of killing across the continent.  Then it warred against the Britain that put them here,  and made several attacks on Canada. Then Mexico was plundered in the form of Texas, California, Nevada, Then  civil war followed by conquest, destruction, plundering all across Latin America - with another hit at Canada after the U.S. civil war. And then it murdered it's way across The Phillipines.  I guess that's what Trump is talking about when he says Make America Great Again.

In our time, it's been busy murdering and plundering Latin America of course (with Canada called in to murder Koreans, Haitians, Afghanis, Libya and to make itself  useful in the middle east oil field wars. And that's good because it gives Canadian capitalists. a share in plundering Latin American resources at cheap, cheap prices for the children of Latin America, right down to the 6 year olds who work and die for pennies in the mines. Yes. It makes us proud to be Canadians.

The U.S. is governed by the greed of it's capitalists. That's true of both parties. And while capitalists feed on both American parties, the also feed on Canada's Liberals and Conservatives. The Conservatives of Canada are really a branch association of U.S. most backward, ignorant and vicious Republicans. (Check out Conservative Ontario's "housing" for the homeless in Toronto. It's, well, cheap. And it's vile. It consists of small cages made of glass. It's not much bigger than a tent - and so small it's impossible to imgine a family in one of them.

Think of those class cages when you see well fed Doug Ford, (Ontario's Trump) on TV looking ernest with a battery of flunkies and behind them a row of flags disgraced by him.

The super rich are making the greatest piles of money in history. It reminds me of the British aristocracy who made vast fortunes out of the poverty they foisted on the rest of the population. (that, incidentally, is what most of the career of Winston Churchill was about.) In the rest of the world, hundreds of millions starve.

Oh Canada? Yeah. 0-0-0-0H

 https://www.commondreams.org/news/2020/11/09/many-workers-will-suffer-days-after-election-trump-quietly-freezes-wages-farm

But who cares? Right?

Well, you better care because this is just a hint of what is coming - and what has already come. Our millionaires and billionaires have been on a binge for the last 70 years, plundering the working class and the middle class.

You won't find this story in our commercial newspapers. But there are lots of sites on the web showing how our wealthy are stealing on a  grand scale from all the rest of us and have been stealing for many years.

Oh, this story has made the New York Times - but most of our commercial news media have not mentioned it and won't. Canadians and Americans have been suffering horrible declines in income for fifty years or so. And the money has been pouring into the pockets of the super rich who pay astonishingly low taxes - if any at all.

Check out a site called Common Dreams (adding the words 'decline of U.S. incomes'.)

The rest of us pay high taxes - not to feed and house the poor, not to improve our schools or to make our universities free - but to feed the rich and greedy.

We also pay to cover the horrible cost of the wars of the super rich. We, not the super rich, pay for the brutality of North American capitalism in Latin America. We pay for thousands of missiles to murder billions of people - soon. We pay for the wars in East Africa that have killed millions, wars that benefit only our super rich. We pay billions to ensure that babies and childred die all over the world. (There's a huge burst of this coming to at least 30 million children in Africa. Aren't you proud as Canadian and Americans to be helping our billionares?)

Ever notice that we pay virtually nothing to feed the hungry and homeless of our own countries? Ever notice that we pay billions to make our billionaires happy?

Sorry - that's not accurate. That money we happily hand out to billionaires actually - and very seriously - amounts to trillions. Those trillions that could do wonders of good for all of us are instead stuffed into the pockets of the super greedy.

And so we begin to die.

There is not the slightest chance that the super rich will ever agree to share this wealth. In particular, there is not the slightest chance that Pierre Trudeau or Biden will ever permit it to be shared. (No. And even less chance that Canada's Conservatives or America's Republicans would lift a finger.)

This is a path our world has followed, perhaps since the origins of human life and through uncounted of thousands of years. Thus our almost unbreakable strings of wars through those wars. (Notice that we haven't had organized wars of lions or sharks, just of humans and, oh, we've had uncountable wars.)

We - or at least some of us - have been evil and greedy throughout history. And so we now are approaching the final days when unspeakable greed joins unspeakable destructive power.  (The Christian churches, incidentally, have been tools of the evil and greedy from the start. Most of the greedy wealthy are avid church goers. Most of them avoid going into their wars - they leave that to the common people. Thus we have a George Bush Family, that happily sends others to war but stays home and attends  church. Maybe this, with November 11 upon us,, is a good time to think about our churches at war. And that takes us to a magnificently written poem - but scarcely Christian in its message.)

"Take up our quarrel with the foe. To you from failing hands we throw the torch. Be yours to hold it high. If ye break faith with us who die, we shall not sleep - though poppies grow in Flanders Fields."

This is Flander's Fields, a poem in praise of murder in World War One. And the reality is that the enemy was no worse that we were. They, just like our side, were fighting a war to enrich their wealthy class.

And on Sunday, our churches will, as always, celebrate our murderous ways - just as they celebrate all our wars as we prepare for more "Christian" wars in the middle east and then the big and final one - China.

We are the animal descendants of evil. And we are now at the final stages of this evil.

The U.S. has solved nothing.

For all the cheers in our news media, the victory of Biden almost certainly does nothing for the election crisis. The U.S. is divided into two almost equal parts. And those still have the power to destroy the nation.

And Canada is right in the line of fire.

Yes, of course Trump is a brainless idiot. Of course many of his followers are so ignorant they actually believe that God wants them to behave as they do. Indeed, there seems scarcely to be any intelligence on either side. This is a nation horribly abused by its super-wealthy and, so far, neither side is showing any interest in dealing with that. Both sides believe in the justice of American democracy that, in  fact, does not exist and never has existed. The U.S. has, from it's start, suffered from the greed of the wealthy. And that covers George Washington and earlier. This has been a non stop, mass murdering nation from the start. In that respect, Britain and the U.S. have a lot in common.

(And Canada's not much better.)

In the U.S., for example, health care is a private business for the profit of the very rich. You can't afford it? (And most people can't.) Tough. Let them die in the filth of the streets.

Canadians can all get whatever medicare they need. No. That wasn't done by the Liberals or the Conservatives. It was done by the CCF, a socialist party.

Americans (and some Candians) are going the American way in education. They get private schools, usually partly financed by our taxes for the benefit of the sons and daughters of the very rich.

It's becoming understood that public schools should be run as cheaply as possible. I grew up in that. It's an atmosphere that encourages failure and drop outs. I went to schools like that as a kid. My friends were dropping out starting from Grade 4. Only one student in my first school year ever finished high school. I was kicked out in grade 11.

That was no problem. We lived in a society in which the poor were expected to be failures, and, oh we met their expectation. Two years after I was kicked out I discovered a school that offered school completion for kids like me. So I signed in. And I (sort of) completed high school. My parents were very upset. As my mother sadly told friends, I was trying to rise above my station. (Later, the Ph.D. would be shattering for them.)

In both Canada and the U.S., the common people are treated like trash. And that's part of the history of both countries. And a great many employers like that because they can cut salaries and benefits for employees. (But billionaires like Trump make their fortunes out of cheap salaries and few benefits. That's why millions live in filth and disease in the streets - and die in the streets.)

That's a pattern we've lived with for thousands of years with Britain, France, Belgium, Rome..... That's the fundamental evil of those humans who are our masters. That's why, even now, millions of Candians and Americans suffer terrible hardship while billionaires are still making huge profits.

And,  in all of this greed and slobbering, both Trump and Biden are servants of the very rich. There is really no difference them - just as there is no difference between Canada's Liberals and Conservatives. (Well, in fairness, both parties are much the same - but Conservatives seem to have an edge on stupidity and irresponsiibility. However, Doug Ford of Ontario makes up in stupidity and ignorance for much of that.} This is the man who, the centre or our crisis wants to destroy new levels of environmental and climate destruction.

For thirty years, we  have known about climate change. We have known about the disasters that are the Arctic and the Antarctic. We have known about the steady rise of heat in a world  that cannot afford even an extra degree. We have known about the massive wildfires all over the world. We have known that even a California can face levels of destruction we are now learning for the first time. We know the whole world is suffering this. We know large parts of our countries are disappearing into the seas.

Agriculture is suffering terribly from this. That's why we have been warned that at least thirty million young children will  soon die of starvation in just one part of Africa.

Oh, and we now have plans to nuke China,  perhaps killing people in the billions. (Of course, Canaadians will be there. Yes, helping our American friends. Technically, it's called ass kissing, somehing good we've been practicing for American and Canadian corporations. And we also helped the U.S., murdering Haitian men,  women, and children for it.)

We know  what has been happening, dammit. But we still kiss the asses of unwashed billionaires.

The whole planet is being destroyed. And we, quite likely, are killing our own children.

We Canadians support a U.S. war effort all over the world that has been non-stop since 1949. That has meant something over 50 American wars, wars that have made a fetish of the mass murder of civilians - and of children and babies. Wars?

No. These are mass murder pure and simple. Our invasion of Afghanistan was illegitimate. So was Haiti. So was our bombing of Libya. Yes. That means we kill children and  babies just like Americans do. (And do we rape women on a massive scale? Of course. All armies do that. When the Americans captured Japan in 1945, they raped just about everything that moved.)

The West has been raping China for some 200 years. And, contrary to much opinion, it probably would be an easy matter to come to a peaceful settlement with China. We - not they  - are the ones who have been plundering and abusing China for centuries. But what we are doing now is on track to kill billions, the most savage slaughter in history.

(Oh, is China evil because it's communist? No. That's pure myth. There's nothing evil about communism. On the contrary, it has done wonders in recovering China from our abuse of it. If there any such evil in this world, you'll find it in western capitalism which has murdered hundreds of millions in Latin America,  Africa, Europe, Asia. Forget these lying stories you hear. It all depends on humans. Russia's early communism did wonders for that country. It was Stalin who destroyed that. But communist China has created quite marvelous growth - that's why it's so important to set an example by nuking China. And all our Christian soldiers will enjoy that.)

Well, there's a lot more to be said. But this is only a blog. Here's the main points. WE are evil. Both Trump and Biden have been making the evil worse. We have little time, very little, to save ourselves and the rest of the world. And the Trumps and  the Bidens and the Fords and the Trudeaus (and all those government twits in Alberta) have poisoned our world - oh, and every damn capitalist there ever was - are destroying us.
