The Horror of the U.S.

Warning - I don't know how long it will take to write this. I've been getting medication that puts me heavily to sleep for almost all day. I was astonished to read a report about Canadian warships in waters between China and Taiwan. As the U.S. prepares for war with China, this would place Canada in that war. Not a good idea. Let's not kid ourselves about Taiwan. Under the leadership of Chiang Kai Shek and his thugs, Taiwan was the centre of the biggest opium trade in the world. The people of Taiwan today are, for the most part, the descendents of Chiang's murderers and opium dealers. (They are not, by any definition, Taiwanese patriots.) And Canada has placed itself in a position to have to join in on the side of Chiang's thugs and against the rather considerable forces of China. Oh, yeah, the Canadian Legion will no doubt bless the thugs and send Canadians to die. The Canadian news media, of course, will never tell us the truth about Taiwan. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ On your TV set it might be possible to pick out a horrifying story. Go to (forgive me. I'm old and fuzzy so I don't remember what the section is called. Oh, yeah. You Tube.) It's about San Francisco. It has over 80,000 people living on the streets, sleeping on bare concrete, sometimes on heaps of garbage which they search for food. (Any deliveries of free food are rare - and often unpleasant. This applies for the elderly all the way down to babies. I have never before seen such suffering. It's far worse than anything I saw in Hong Kong or China. I saw people sleeping in garbage cans. The dead? They're just dumped. Nobody cares. Almost all are mentally unbalanced. Of course. All try to steal food from the stores. Almost all are sent to prison for long sentences. But the prisons don't want them, either. So within days of sentencing they are kicked out. It's common to see people who have been kicked out and sentenced again 40 times and more. All of them, of course, are hopelessly insane as a result of their experience. And the children of the insane stay in the streets and the filth - and the death. I saw the same for Seattle. It's moving across the U.S. And by every sign the billionaires are not lifting a finger. Meanwhile, the pharma giants are making monster profits from their covid 19 sales - far, far more than their drugs cost to produce. And they don't give a damn about the horror they are creating. After all, this is the U.S. - the happy land of the super wealthy and greedy. Pope Francis has asked the pharma giants to release their covid19 patents. They won't. And millions will die. But don't worry. Your news media won't tell you what's happening. As well, our news media won't tell us that we are killing whole nations with the greed of our capitalists. Millions are dying. But notice there are no stacks of the wealthy dead. We have gone back thousands of years to the emperors and the starving street mobs of Rome. We are soon to murder billions of Chinese in order to please the politicians and the Liberals, Conservatives, Democrats and GOP. And, as we can see, our capitalists are planning to kill all of us. Indeed, we are within range of killing all human life. But to make you feel better about that,China is the world's biggest emitter of coal - a horribly destructive product. A Humble Reply

I don't at all disagree with yesterday's response to my statement that China's proclaimed creation of a nation of general ambition for equality. (and forgive me, I have a computer that drives me around the bend. It must be the one the CIA gave me.) I said in my blog that the Chinese government has announced a wish to bring about national equality in China. And, by closing down on the billionaires of China, the government has demonstrated a wish to do that. But will it be capable of completing such a change? I doubt it. In all I know from history, there is no record of any society which permitted equality. It seems to be a curse of humanity. I don't know of any country in the world - in all those years - of any country in which the rulers have permitted any of their people to have equality. Almost all other animals do permit it. But not us. And there is certainly no sign of it in our western world. Check out the billionaires of our world. They don't give a damn about anyone else. I just called attention to it because it was so unusual. I don't doubt there are many ways to move people into line. The Chinese are trying to do something that can really only be modified, not changed on a huge scale. But ------- ----but throughout history, our world has rarely tried to be anything but plundering - which is what the U.S. is now doing all over the world, and has been doing as long as their has been a U.S. And it's what our capitalists, with the help of the Liberals and Conservatives, do to us. Think of the many, many families of the U.S. and Canada who live on the streets and who now face a winter with, if they're lucky, a tent. Think of the billionaires who spit on them. China houses it's people, all of them. Yes, it took a long time for China to do it. But it housed them. We don't house ours.

A VERY UNHAPPY BLOG

I'm really astonished by the Canadian (and American) contempt for the Chinese - and for the popular belief that the Chinese live in poverty and filth - and with no housing. In reality, it's the U.S. and Canada who have thrown huge numbers of people into the streets. It's us here in North America who have created slums. And that's not the first time this has happened. My father was a scout master for a troop in Montreal's Chinatown. Now, we lived in a VERY poor district of Montreal. But even for us, Chinatown was one hell of a shabby place. I liked the boys and was happy to help out with them. But, oh, I was also struck by the poverty and shabbiness. At Boy Scout Summer camp, the other boys (being genuine, white Canadians) went out of their way to shower contempt on the Chinese boys. And, oh, the history of that goes further. For a hundred years, the British plundered and murdered Chinese. And, of course, it was all the fault of the Chinese. When I was in Hong Kong, that sort of belief was common.I shall never forget the night I saw the horror of thousands of Chinese, whole families crammed onto the streets for miles to sleep on cardboard sheets. But I never saw any English treated like that. However, I did see the English, lots of them, treating the Chinese with utter contempt. (The worst was the Governor's right hand man who was, to my dismay, married to my cousin.) Today, the Chinese have done a magnificent job of recovering from the cruel and arrogant rule of the British. So, of course, we hate them. Our press forever criticizes them. Amazing how our press never notices the mass murder by our side. Can you spell U.S.? Britain? Canadian Legion? Let's get real. Why did Canada spend over ten years killing people in Afghanistan? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Winter is closing in. But, so far as we know, the U.S. and Canada will not lift a finger to help their homeless. And that includes the elderly. children and babies. What king of miserable bastards have we allowed ourselves to become? On the other hand, American billionaires - and perhaps Canadian ones - are developing warrior robots to protect them from ---us. Oh, yes, the U.S. also wants Australian journalist Julian Assange murdered by the CIA. He was a superb journalist and an honest one. That's why he has spent years in solitary (currently in a British) prison without charge or trial. The U.S. wants him - for the same reason. Again, there won't be a trial. Instead, it will be immediate solitary with no trial. Or, for greater efficiency, the CIA will murder him. God bless America, land of the - whatever. Meanwhile, the U.S. and Canada are begun a real horror show. Our farms are going under. We may (will) face shortages created by us as the price of our carbondioxide, thanks to our worship of cars and trucks and factories. I'm so happy that the Irvings keep the people of New Brunswick happy with showers of gas and oil. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Also noticeable is the wimpiness of the American armed forces since 1949. They, by far, have been the most expensive and most expensively armed forces in the world. And they have been amongst the most feeble. Afghanistan, a relatively poor country (and the American target of only a small part of it.) And Afghanistan beat the pants off it. It was the same in Korea. Since 1940, it has has lost a string of military targets, often losing to small (sometimes very small and very poor countries). Now, the U.S. has been a world leader in killing. It began with the landing of the Pilgrim Fathers. (Then, George Washington was obsessed with killing.) From that day and up to as late as 1930, the U.S. was killing it's native peoples. It tried several times to conquer Canada. It murdered Mexicans to steal what became Texas, California and other states. There is probably no country in the world that matches the U.S. for it's history of wars and conquests. Starting in 1900, it slaughtered the largely helpless people of Latin America and has been robbing them ever since. The prison (torture base) of Latin America is today Guantanamo that it stole from Cuba. There is probably no country in the world that can match the many hundreds of years of American murder. But the world is at last catching on. In 1945, the U.S. clearly planned to conquer the world so the whole whole world could be slaves of American billionaires. And it's not even close. Instead, the rising power is China with it's population of 2+ billion. The U.S. cannot defeat China in the usual sort of war. No. It can win only by killing huge numbers, perhaps a billion, of men, women and children with nuclear bombs. God bless America. (Oh, the U.S. will call on neighbour Canada to join that war. There is a country which are news media tell us almost nothing about. It's a country that is lowering the rights of it's billionaires. It's a country the billionaires had almost taken over. The country doing this is a country determined in establishing a society of equality. (No, alas! It's not Canada.) It's China. So far as I know this is a country which aiming equality instead of the rich and greedy. (I don't know of any western country that has done that. In the U.S. - as in Canada where I grew up - the rich have always, for example, celebrated private tutors for rich kids. And for poor kids like me? We were taught to be scum. It took me years to learn I could go to university. That raised me a notch or so. But I was still low on the ladder. It took me eight more years to realize I could do a PhD. China is unique in the world in trying to give all its people a land of equality. We talk about it. But we've never done it. Our news media teach us to hate China. In fact, I hate our news media for their lies and propaganda. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ And, oh, can't we and the U.S. give a damn about the homeless of our countries? We give trillions every year to the billionaires and trillionaires. Salaries for the rest of us are decades out of date. We throw billions at the drug companies whose owners hugely over charge us for them. That's why there's no money to save so many nations - as in Africa. They're dying now. And they're going to die a hell of a lot more , many millions of them. A reader has annoyed me.

In my last post, a reader was deeply offended when I said nice things about China. Naughty me. It's possible I overstated the Chinese car market. I'm not sure. But China remains the world leader in sales of electricity powered cars - and the Chinese are going all the way on this. Their cars are also very cheap, mostly in the $4,000 range.(Most Chinese driving is on crowded streets. So I would guess these cars are not speedy. But what the hell, I could use a 4,000 dollar car.) The reader was also contemptious about Chinese housing. So let's look at that. Remember that China was for a hundred years under British control. The British had nothing but contempt for the Chinese. It was the British who created a China of the homeless. I remember well seeing the horror of that in Hong Kong - miles and miles of Chinese in rags and sleeping on scraps of cardboard for miles, each of them jammed into place. That was not, I'm sure, what the Hong Kongers wanted. That's what the British forced on them. In fact, all the misery that we blamed the Chinese for was thrust on them by the British. The damage to China - that we blame on the Chinese - was and is almost always the result of the savagery and greed of the British and then the Americans. Certainly millions of Chinese suffered and it took them a long time to recover. I was last in China about 1985, and it's housing was still a disaster. But at last, the Chinese government took on the problem of housing. And it did what our governments had not done in all the years of our savagery. It built, in fact, it overbuilt high rise apartments to house (and more) all of China's population. And those who had no money were accepted at no charge. O-0-0- And what do our Canadians and Americans do? Hell, we toss them, men, women, children, babies onto the streets. So yes, I applaud China for it's action. And I have nothing but contempt for our leadership by billionaires who pile away with the trillionaires to enrich themselves. And, okay, I have contempt for our Liberals, Conservatives, Democrats and G0Ps. But don't worry. I'm sure our brave soldiers, acting in the the grand tradition of North American conquest will smother China with nuclear bombs. You know, God bless America.

Yes, I mean every word of this.

Another day, another oil spill, this one in Texas on top of the disaster in southern California. Not to worry, said Trudeau. Not to worry said Biden as we wait for another spill in British Columbia. Not to worry say the morons of Alberta. In fact, we have very little time to worry. Scientists tell us that we have nine years to mend our ways, nine years of gas guzzling in a world of oil. And we're not going to make it. Oil companies buy enough politicians to ensure that. They buy politicians of the Liberals, Conservatives, Democrats and Republicans. And if you vote for any of those parties, you're cutting your own throat. Those parties have always been the tools of big business.That is why the U.S, has been fighting wars for seventy years. (Of course,the U.S. also fights those wars because the other side is evil. Yes. And the U.S. is good. That's why the U.S. has had to fight over a hundred wars since 1949 - to defend itself I mean,against evil. Think about it. If the U.S.had not gone to war against Korea, if the thugs hired by George W. Bush not murdered priests, nuns and missionaries in Guatemala, those evil people might now be invading us. Just imagine the attack on Ontario by crazed nuns. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Now, think about the country that is the world leader in the vital work of developing electric car engines. This is vital to our future because the gas engines are killing us with the clouds of poison gas (carbon dioxide) from their engines. But we have done nothing because doing anything would annoy our poison gas rulers. In Canada only some two percent of our engines are powered by electricity. The U.S.is about the same. Indeed, only one country in the whole world relies almost entirely on electric car engines. That country is China. Indeed, China is the most progressive country in the world. When I was there "progressive" was not a word that would have occurred to me. This was a country shattered by years of rule by the British who were as savage a lot as it was possible to imagine. (Later, I learned that Hong Kong, ruled by the British, was as evil as China had been.) China cares for it's hungry and homeless. Canada and the U.S. don't. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Ah, I knew it. I knew it when I was a kid. The big name in the opium trade in the 1930s and 40s was the man that most of the web admires today was Chiang kai Sheck. Funny how most of the sites don't mention that. Millions suffered and died to make fortunes for the drug mobsters in Asia. I remember as a kid seeing, somewhere, the pictures of men lying in the beds they would be on for many days, perhaps for life. Chiang Kai Shek, our hero, stuffed those men onto beds soaked in opium until they died. The heroes of the American and Canadian press to this day have been a vile drug pedlar and the whole international network of self destruction. In fact, Chiang continued his gangsterism even as he lived in Taiwan. But China has recovered-----and we criticize China for recovering. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I spent some time looking for information about the homeless in the U.S. and Canada. I couldn't find it. Apparently, there is no such official thing as giving the homeless a damn. China, on the other hand, has NO homelessness. All Chinese live in modern housing, whether they can pay for it or not. In that respect, China is far more caring for it's people than the U.S and Canada are. China - call it communist if that makes you happy - is a lot more caring for it's people than a Canada or a U.S.But don't worry. The U.S., perhaps with Canadian help, will slaughter billions of - men, women and children - with nuclear bombs. And the Canadian Legion will wet its pants. In all seriousness. China has become a country that is a model for the rest of the world. It's way ahead of us. And it's a hell of a lot better than our churches in holding Christian values. Shining Evil

It's nice to see evidence of our rulers taking time to invest for their declining years. The prime minister of Czechosolvakia, for example, used offshore companies to (secretly)buy a 13 million dollar French mansion. That saved him millions of dollars of taxation. The president of Ukraine used an offshore connection to do his dirty work in secretly getting and keeping secret properties for his own benefit. In Russia, Putin's inner circle has loaded up on secret purchases of property without being required to pay taxes on it - a practice that spared them many millions of dollars.The king of Jordan has hidden property (tax free). Tony Blair, prime minister of Britain, with the cooperation of his wife, bought property offshore and, secretly, saved 300,000 in taxes. Among the (illegal) buyers of such properties are 100 billionaires, 30 world leaders, and 300 officials. In the U.S. itself, the state of South Dakota is a leading tax haven. Around the world, the rich can actually use their governments to avoid paying taxes. But don't expect to hear that from your friendly local wealthy bastards. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ In another story unlikely to appear in your friendly local newspaper ---- We learn that the CIA has long been running loose in Afghanistan. Now, the CIA usually has 2 functions - it murders people, but first, it tortures them. (The CIA and Hitler would have been great friends.) However, in Tabul, the CIA was caught in the great surrender of just over a month ago. So the CIA had to burn it's huge fleet of cars used to murder and to catch people for torture. The Taliban has found this scrap remainder, and has offered the western press to take pictures of the ranks of burnt cars and to show this in the world press. But don't waste your time waiting for our press to tell the tuth. The Taliban is cruel? Yes. But it isn't nearly so cruel as a murderous and torturing CIA. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ It was hardly a year ago that our boy Trudeau met American politicians at the American border to encourage them to continue transporting oil over the soil. He assured them it was perfectly safe and that he was doing it through BC. (rather an odd thing to say in a BC that was suffering damage and health from oil fires.) Well, I'm sure the Americans would have done it anway. And now they have really done it. A huge pipeline right on the California coast is now sending thousands of gallons of oil into the sea - and drifting it out on huge quantities. By coincidence, it has poisoned miles of water and killed an unknown number of sea creatures. And it will not be possible for humans along miles of that coast to go into that water for many months at least - and probably much longer. Thank you for your advice Mr. Trudeau. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Though most of us probably don't even think about it, both Canada and the U.S. have a dreadful record of abuse of our native peoples. That goes way back to the earliest days of contact between out ancestors and our native peoples. For centuries we have been cruel and abusive of them. George Washington was a cruel and arrogant man who, like most presidents, treated aboriginals like dirt.He, like most presidents, treated them like dirt. In fact, the latest American killing spree against aboriginals in the U.S. didn't happen until the 1920s. Canada, of course had it's mass murders of native peoples. And example of that (which has been going on for over a hundred years) was the mass murder of native children, some as young as 3, who were taken from their homes and put into locked-in schools where over a thousand died (killed by white priests and nuns) - and were buried in unmarked pits. And it went beyond that. Aboriginal peoples, men, women, children were shoved aside when it came to health care, jobs, security of any sort. But all this is due, I hope, to change. A senior judge has ruled that these people must be given the financial powers to break through our terrible treatment of them. The Canadian government has rejected the view of Canada's leading judges. But the judges are determined to press their case and, indeed, all the law is on the side of the judges. There proposal (49 forty thousand per person) may sound high. But it would simply raise native peoples to the level of others. Alas! Premier Trudeau happily gives billions to billionaires. But to nobody else. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Oh, the Catholic church is looking for credit for it's treatment of aboriginals in their schools. It claims credit for money spent in teaching aboriginal children. Well, yeah....sort of. That money, in fact,was spent to evangelize the children, to convert them to Christianity. Wow! Watch out for nuns at your door. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ You probably have not read the story of Julian Assange in your newspapers. As a young man in Australia he was a brilliant journalist, and the founder of Wikkileaks. He was a highly devout journalist. And that's why many (many, many) commercial journalists hated him as he covered stories in Europe. The many included papers like the New York Times and The Manchester Guardian.These people forced him into isolation and then into jail (though none had any legal charges against him. He's now been many years in solitary with no conviction and no trial.) Now, the U.S. wants him to spend the rest of his life in solitary confinement. There isn't going to be any trial in the U.S. After all, there are no charges. This is a man who has been treated illegally. And you can bet he will die in solitary confinement. Check your local paper. You won't find a word about Julian Assange. The newspapers of Canada and the U.S. are, as usual, liars. Well, there's at least a lesson. Don't believe your journalists. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Meanwhile, Cuba is suffering terribly from climate change. It is also suffering lack of food. I read an article saying that Canada should help Cuba. Oh? Bloody unlikely. The U.S.wouldn't lift a finger to help Cuba (just it won't help Haiti.) Cuba and Haiti are examples of U.S. brutality - and Canadians who want to help these countries will get spanked. It's so obvious that the Canadian Legion which happily sent Canadians to serve in places like Korea and Afghanistan (Which were nons of our business) = wouldn't dream of helping Cuba or Haiti. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On a sad note, I see that an excellent news agency, Information Clearing House, has been frozen into a blog that hasn't changed for a couple of weeks. An apology

I am sending this post early because A) my computer is a mess and I might be unable to get it fixed for several days. B) As well, I thought I was very sick, and was quite worried about my health. Luckily, I was today proven to be in good health - still homely and unsavoury - but alive. I was premature in my headline of the last blog. However, I do think the American empire is done for. The U.S. is deeply divided among - itself. Biden and Trump are almost tied in the polls with Trump slightly ahead. And, let's get real, neither of them has anything to offer. The U.S. (like many other countries) has failed, after 70 years of mass murder and brutality. It has especially carried out mass murder of children and civilians. (Along with Saudi Arabia, the U.S. is now forcing death by starvation on the whole population of Yemen.) The U.S. is seriously considering a nuclear war with China. Such a war would kill at least a billion people of all ages. And it has nothing to do with China being evil. And even if it did, the U.S. is far, far more evil. At the present pace, there is no possibility that our planet will survive this century. And there is no possibility that American Democrats and Republicans - or Canadian Liberals and Conservatives - will do anything to address these problems. The U.S. is now run solely by greed - led by the U.S. (and Canadian) property owners who are led by landlords who kick people out of their houses so the landlords can sell off their houses for inflated prices. Then,of course, the U.S. has something like 70 million living and dying in the streets so the super rich can plunder their own nation. (It would be an easy matter to give them shelter and food by taxing the super rich - but the democrats and GOP prefer to give most of their money to those super rich. The U.S. plunders all over the world. But the worst plundering in recent years has been a plundering of the poor to please the super rich. This also means a savage debasement of the poor. Tens of thousands of the children of the American poor will remain poor and badly educated - if educated at all. I have a sense of that because I was a child of poverty in the dirty thirties. We started school knowing we would never complete it. Rich kids would, of course. But we started dropping out as early as grade three. None of the kids I grew up with ever completed high school. When I was kicked out of school, my parents were pleased. Now I could live as I was supposed to - in poverty. The American and Canadian poor are still dumped by society while a Donald Trump, though not an intelligent man, can live in gross wealth - just like Canada's Irvings of New Brunswick. Forget the American empire. It's now dying because of the greed of it's leaders and it's capitalists, and their abuse of their own people - just like the greed of the British empire at the hands of the British aristocracy. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 16 million people in Yemen will soon die as their food runs out. Has Yemen threatened us at some time? No. Actually, the U.S.has, as well as murdering people, done a good deal of the destruction of agriculture in that country. It has done that to help out it's good friend Saudi Arabia. In particular, it has supplied the Saudis with weapons and has also done much of the destruction itself. A country that has always been poor is facing the greatest mass murder of our murderous world. (Earlier, American heroes specialized in killing the children. But it's now branched out.) No, don't waste your time looking through your home newspaper. The story ain't there. And sixteen million people are going to die of starvation. God bless America. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Did you read the story that hundreds of Canadas indigenous peoples died in a Catholic residential school in western Canada? And how they were stolen from their homes and families. The Catholic bishops said they were sorry. But they have made it clear they wouldn't do anything. Glory Hallelujah. (Even with that measure, the Canadian government has said and done --- nothing.) It's been up to the indigenous people to discover the rest of the story. The number of the dead across Canada has now reached over 6,000. The Bishops are doing nothing. The Canadian government is doing nothing. I'm used to calling the Canadian governments bastards. But I never thought I would expand that to include our Catholic bishops. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ In the same strain, we (Canadians) and the U.S. and Britain and others are supplying Israel with weapons to destroy Palestinans and steal their land. Yes, I know what Hitler did. But allowing the Israeli Jews to do the sort of Butchery and greed that Hitler does not seem to be the appropriate response. In fact, we resetelled Israel only to kick Jews out of our countries because we hated Jews. Alas, this was a terrible blow to European Jews for whom Israel was a distant and not very attractive place to go. So European Jews, knowing damn well what we Christians were doing to them, went there with no joy. And they pushed their anger onto the Arabs of Palestine. The idea that Jews lived forever in the region is nonsense. All of us humans have been moving around for many thousands of years. We have moved across much of the world But,alas! The Jews of Israel have lost any sense of what Judaism is. And it is now just a drooling thief and murderer. And we Christians are the ones who created that. We are, so far as I know, the only animals who plot and murder against each other. We are the only animals who have religion. And religions we simply make into excuses for brutality, thievery and murder. You don't think we're nasty? We are planning a nuclear war in China that could kill billions of people in China. And we're doing it for greed -to destroy China so our billionaires would be in a position to destroy us even more.
