Probably,even worse is the record of many international companies , including Canadian ones, in hiding their profits in overseas banks so they don't have to pay income tax on them.  Nobody knows how much profit Canadian billionaires have hidden in this way. And it's been going on for a hundred years. The amount, just since World War 2 has been esttimated at close to 300 billion.

So tough luck all you teachers - and even tougher look for the millions of Canadians, Americans, Europeans now unemployed.

Canada, the U.S., Britain and many other countries have been cheated out of the income tax that should have been used to help them. We have all been cheated by our super rich for a hundred years and longer. Our current crisis of poverty is just one more chapter or a corruption we have tolerated for far too long.

I wrote the 4 items above on Saturday night. Then I took a break to look at Trump's press conference on TV. At one point, he was shocked and angry because he had learned that a foreign country was selling a product in the U.S. which was cheaper a similar to a similar one made in the U.S.

Oh! Shocking! Unfair! Against the  principles of fair trade! They were picking on the U.S. Yes, They were. And he would move immediately to stop this.

Hey! Hang on Donald. What was  illegal about  a foreign country producing a product betten than an American one? How did this hurt the American  people?
Heck! it was saving them money.

But no. Trump saw this as an assault on the U.S. So he plans to forbid the product.

Who benefits from this? Not the American people. No. They're going to get ripped off to fatten the profits of a few, super-wealthy Americans who, almost certainly, don't pay taxes, either.

Trump's purpose in all this is not to benefit the American people. It's to benefit billionaires who are ripping off the American people.

Luckily for Trump he has big support in the evangelical south. Swift they ain't.
