Though our news media have rarely touched on the issue, The U.S. has beggarred almost every government in Latin America. And Canada has helped it.
For the first time in history, Haiti had, briefly, a democrraticalyy elected governmentt. But the U.S. put an end to that with an invasion of Haiti. It destroyed the elected government, then called on Canada to finish the job by sending police and troops to Haiti.
As usual, the Canadian government and the Canadian news media accepted the 'honour'. And so democracy in Haiti was destroyed, and dictatorhiip ruled
O, Canada.

There really isn't much more news around at this point. But this is worth much further study. For example, the U.S. and, to a degree, Canada is throwing billions at the super rich while ordinary people are dropping into poverty.
That is especially true in the U.S. where the millions of unemployed are starving but where they have to wait for (inadequate) help - for at least a wait of three months.
So how do they pay there rent? How do they feed there families? Who cares?
Oh, one of the rich getting immediate help with his possessions is - wait for it - Donald Trump.
I don't know where this is going. Americans are stuck with a political system that has been government by the rich and for the rich. They show very little sign of getting over that. But -
As this gets uglier, it could get a whole lot angrier and more violent. And it could be aviolence of the poor against the poor.
It's also quite possible that the super rich will demand a world war againt China and Russia before they whole American system collapses.
