It is also very possible that any American attack would inspire uprisings by the puppet states where the U.S. has established dictators.

We humans have a wonderful power to lie to ourselves, and to believe our lies.
Christians, for example, will publicly mourn Hitler's murder of over 4 million Jews. And when they do that, they are lying to themselves. That whole period was treated as evil by our news media. We knew what was going on.

Netanyahu has gone a long way to destroying Judaism.
The British empire was remarkably racist. That's why it could slaughter millions of Chinese and Indians and Africans without a qualm. This was particularly true of a Winston Churchill. Indeed, Churchill was a racist as only a descendant of the British upper class could be. He absolutely refused to help the Jews of Europe.
And the U.S., does it have a history of racism and slaughter that compares to Hitler's Germany? You bet.

It argues that private schools are not subsidized with public money. In fact, and as the author admits, these schools for rich kids are heavily subsidized with government money. The author of this lie is just playing word games. In Canada, 370,000 children go to private schools which offer smaller classes, and social connections. And the rest of us pay half and more of their fees.

Notre Dame was our world of almost 1,000 years ago. That's why it took over 150 years to build it. We were a world almost no mechanical devices, no electricity, no power drills to cut stone, no chain saws.....I don't know how many men it took to build it over all those years. But it's stunning to think of the thousands of manual labourers it must have taken to building it. It's stunning to think of all the brutal work of cutting, moving the stones, then raising them by hand in their tons.
Then there's the astonishing engineering of a building that could last for centuries. I can think of few (no) great buildings of our time that could last for so long. It was an unimaginably great triumph of will, faith, and sweat by ancestors so distant we can scarcely imagine them.
But we also need a sense of the vitality of a society that could do that. For that purpose, I ran a scene from the opening of The Hunchback of Notre Dame with Charles Laughton. It's set in the early days of that church, with the mobs and soldiers and tower bells and beheading and lashing - and sanctuary - of the church.
