The final days of the world?

Apologies for this. I began this entry several days ago. Then my computer crashed - or so I thought. I became convinced this was a scheme to destroy my use of any computer.There seemed to be nothing I could do to it.

At my advanced age, I had finally reached the stage of complete uselessness. And, oh, i was in deep misery, almost sucidal,

Then my daughter came to visit her decaying father.

And in two or three minutes it was all working.

Lesson - have at least one child who was born after 1970.

 What would you say is the most rracist city in North America - New  York? Somewhere in the racist south?

Nope.

The most racist  city in all of North America is Vancouver. It has been highly racist for a hundred years. And it has lately become much, much  worse. Lately it's been getting worse - and the targets of the hatred now are Chinese.

And, earlier, it was the Japanese who lived there from 1900 or so. But when Japan attacked Pearl Harboutr. the Canadian government swooped down on them. They were all sent out  immediately to prison camps in the BC interior. It was immediate as they were given a half hour to get out taking only a bag or so of their  possessions.All else - houses, furniture, boats - were taken by the government never to be returned.

To this day, there is  no evidence that Japanese Canadians had anything to do with Japan and the bombing of Pearl Harbour.

But Canada has always been racist. There was the treatment of native peoples, There was the treatment of Blacks - and it still happens. Perhaps the worst province for that has been Nova Scotia. But all of Canada was in the racist gutter. And much of it still is.

I well remember the French hatred of English in Quebec. As a leader of the English rights group, I remember the French mob  attacks  on us - especially the final one in which a French mob broke into our offices and set fire to them.

Quebec is now requesting a change in the constitution which woud be a major step to making it an independent  nation.

Check outRabble.ca your computer. It's all good. But, as I write this, two columns stand out.

One is an article by Davis Suzuki. We have known for thirty years that coal, oil,tand gas will destroy us. And for thirty years we have done very lttle. to save ourselves and our children.

And for thirty years we have done almost nothing. In particular, notice the premiers of Alberta and Ontario. They are the champs in suicidal polices. Most of the others are just wimps.

Can we save ourselves in the next thiry years? I see no sign of real action.

The other publication deals with Canada as a major world supplier of weapons. Yes, Canadian weapons are right up their in world suppliers/ Some of their weapons, sold to Israel , killed Palestinian children. Even worse are sales to Saudi Arabia, weapons that are deliberately used to kill chilren and babies. Oh, they also equipped Israel for it's recent murders in Palestine.

God bless our weapons billionaires.

Speaking of billionaires -  In the last forty years or so, American billionaires have taken 50 TRILLION dollars out of the bottom 90 percent of Americans. We don't have the figures for Canadian billionaires - but it's probably, in proportion to the American  figures.

And this has been going on for centuries.

Well, taking a broader view, this has been going on in our world for thousands of years. The wealthy of ancient Rome became wealthy by recruiting the majority to fight their profitable wars. That done, the majority were dumped to live in the streets.

And that's exactly what is happening to millions of Americans right now.

A reader has told me that the Canadian military deserves our support because it's members have fought for their country.

Well, okay. So. what do other countries fight for?

Think hard. Under Hitler, German soldiers fought for their country. So we should admire them?

More recently, Canadian soldiers killed people in Haiti and destroyed democracy there. Did they do this for their country? tell me how Canada was made a better place as a result.

Canadian soldiers fought and died in Afghanistan, a country that in no sense was a threat to Canada. In fact, the only country suffering from the war in Afghanistan IS Afghanistan.. So  how was our killing them of any help to Canada?

 The same can be said for Canada's role in Korea. How did that serve our country?

The reality is that in all our wars since 1945 we have been serving the interest of American billionaires.

So let's scrap all this tarted up propaganda. Since 1945 the only people our soldiers have fought and died for have been American billionaires.

For thousands of years we have fought wars. It was never a good idea. Now, given the huge power of our destructive weapons we are into the worst wars this planet has ever seen.

And soon, into the final war.

Not a good time.

Forgive me as I begin this blog. I'm overwhelmed by events in this world. As well, I have a computer which is destroying me, giving me extreme methods of operation and confusion.I'm also waiting for new glasses; Life is hell.

Let's start with a point I have not made about Israel in Gaza. When Hitler murdered Jews, he was following many other European countries. Among those who had no love for Jews were countries like Britain and France and much of Europe.

For the few Jews who escaped to Canada after the war, they did well. It was not so good for those still in Europe. Nobody wanted them. So they organized themselves to move in on Palestine. And that changed them They had lived through one horror. But they had no intention living another one.

I think that was the time when the European Jews abandoned their semitic values,

That didn't happen in North America despite anti-Jewish feeling there.But the Jews of Europe who were left in Europe knew nothing but horror. So they flooded into Palestine determined not to be the victims of another holocaust.

Perhpas without completely understanding it their tradional values disappeared,, and they became, like Americans, aggressive.

They went to synagogue. But it's the same way Christians have been going to church for more than a thousand years - with no religious values at all..

In Israel, Jewish values died..

Note - President Biden's activity in all this has amounted to nothing. (He doesn't have any religious values either.Well, he doesn't need any values to be the  president of a nation that murders millions, including children, all over the world.)

The U.S.  has never had any religious values. George Washington was one of the great killers of native peoples. Christians, for all their praying and church going, have long shown contempt for all that their churches claim to stand for. World War Two was an example of that. Both Germans and us paid no attention to "thou shalt not kill". And we haven't paid much attention to it for almost 2,000 years.In the past two or three centuries, the world's worst killers have been the Christians of Britain, the U.S. and Nazi Germany.

The premier of Alberta has often told us their is no climate change happening. And the premier of Alberta is a lout.

It's happening. wild life in the north is rapidly disappearing.  Polar ice is melting very quickly/ And that, for us, means flooding. That, of course, is the result of climate change.

Climate change is also what is causing our giant wild fires that are making parts of Canada and the U.S. uninhabitable - and they are now close to attacking us easterners. The Irrvings of New Brunswick are are poisoning the province's forests - And oh, there's going to be one  hell of a price for that. 

Clinate change is real. And climate change is real. And our world cannot tame climate change. It's already destroying animal life all over the world.

It is also a threat ro our agricultrue. Indeed, large parts of the world have seen theuir agriculture disappear in this this. Milliions, especially in Africa, are dying aleady. (These are, of course, the ones western armies seem to emjoy killing in their millions - yes, the west has killed millions down to babies. But our cutsie news media never notice.

At the bottom of all the vileness in our world are the superwealthy. They are the ones who ones who win election with the money of the super rich = the Liberals and the Conservatives in Canada - and the Democrat's and GOPs of the U.S.

We have wars largely because the super rich make bit money out of them. We pay for them with our taxes. Forget the crap about fighting for your country. At the demand of the U.S. (to which Canada is a patsy as it used to be in British Empire days in, for example, South Africa.

It was, I think, about twenty years ago that the U.S. asked (told) Canada to send troops and police to destroy democracy in Haiti, So we did. We killed democracy in Haiti. And the U.S. installed a murderous dictator. (Don't waste your time looking for the news of it as seen by our news media.)

We played the same game when we sent troops to Afghanistan And, of course, there was the war in Korea, a war that had nothing to do with Canada and, certainly nothing to do with democracy.

The Legion cheered for all these bogus wars - and Canadians died in them - for no reason at all.

A member of the Legion recently told me they died firghting for their country,

Like hell they did.

Well, I got off track on this. But it's a reality. Canadians are now patsies for American wars. We have been since 1945.

 I'm having a terrible time in the last few days of blogging. It's the confusion generated by adjusting to new glasses  I'm making terrible mistakes as I write.

Western countries have always been anti semitic. Britain, France, Germany, Canada, the U;S; are good examples of that. That is why, at the end of World War Two there was great resistance  by them to help/ Jews away from the horrors and hatreds of World War Two.. And that is what forced Jews to look out for themselves. They organized in a frenzy to settle in Palestine. We decided to let them do that  because it got them out of the way.

So it was that Israelies aettled in Palestine expelling the Arab population as it went. Most of that population  fled, The few Jews who had been living there had beent rhappily living with the arabs quite peacefully for generations./ The aggresive behaviour of these invading Jews that  they found offensive.led some of  the PalestiniantJews to flee/ I would later meet them in Canada where we became good friends. But they would never forgive what the European Jews had done.

But the European Jews soon  settled in. forcing the arabs  into a hated status and driving the rest of them into the most undesirable districts. And so it was the process of creating the state of Israel.

The Jews who forced their wayinto Palestine knew they weren't wanted. They knew the world was dumping them. They probably also knew that the US was using them to establish American influence in the region. (that is probably why President Biden has been so gentle om saying or doing  anything. It's a mess that American presidents from the start have supplied Israel with trillions of dollars of weapons over the years..

How we have destroyed Israael as a as a Judaic state

  The savagery of Israel now matches any  in the world. But let's remember who created thiis horror. ( though you won't believe me/)

It waz us,

In 1945, Jews were desperate to get out of Europe. Europeans, including British and French wanted them out. Canada and the U.S. didn't want them at all. By that time, I was old enough I had heard enough around our church to know there was no rush to accept Jews. And in the little I heard, that was the only theme.

And it was a pretty common feeling all over Btitain, France.  Caada And the US.

 About 1945 my best school friend was Jewish/ Then he disappeared, so I asked the Principal. "We moved him to one of his own schools. He'll be happier with his  own kind."

(at that time, Montreal Jews were assigned to the   Protestant school board. Catholic's wouldn't ttouch them. They were assigned to Protestant schools but, in almost all cases,, they were permitted only to attend a few - like those schools that were exclusively Jewish. And they had Protestant teachers,)

That didn't change until a few years after the war when I entered Montreal High - the darling  school of English Montreal. But 1949 was the  year of shock for it. Students from Baron Bing (the leading Jewish school.) were permitted to enter Montreal High. I don't know why that was. But I suspect it was because Jewish students were every year, the top ranked of the year in the English schools.

Montreal high school teachers were not pleased.  On the first day, the vice principle visited our  class - the top class in the school. He looked and said "Jewish boys stand up."

More than half the class stood up. The VP looked disgusted and saddened.

"sit down"

He bent his head and walked out in disgust.

Of course, there was no such thing as an acceptable Jew. I would not see a Jewish teacher for about five years when I began teaching school.

This was a pattern that went beyond  that time, and that exists today. I  knew that from  grade 10 . That is why I have ever since had large numbers of Jewish friends. I learned how many of them had to pay immigration officers to permit Jews to be entered Canada. I  spoke hundreds maybe a thousand times. I often spokek to large groups in synagagues.That was quite a pleasure. Christian audiences, especially churches, were always trivial and and desperate.

In short, we have like Britain, like France, like the U.S.,we have terrib;e abused and alienated Jews. And so it is we have created an Israel which is profoundly more different than  Judaism has been.

Increasingly, it has become like us. And Palestinians will suffer from our hatreds

And in doing so, it will rely on U.S. gift weapons so it can kill Palestinians - and betray it's own interests..

This is the Israel WE have created,an Israel that has no Judasmi. and and Israel thst is a pain reminderpf the damage of the damage we have done to Judaism.

The revenge of Information Clearing House

 Sorry. I've been pretty inactive in recent days. That happens when you're 87 years old. I've been down for a lot of sleeping days - but I seem to be coming out of it.

Information Clearing House, a very reputable source of world news, has been out of action for some weeks. It's director, Tom Feeley,   has been ill for several weeks, a victim of our diseased world. But he's now back in massive style with his  views on world affairs.

Click on Information Clearing House - but oh, it's return articles are massive and really, really numerous. The title of this first one I suggest to you has the title "Overdue Report Claiming Ugyhur genocide brought to you by sham university and neocon ideologues lobbying to "punish" China.'

This is perhaps one-hundedth of the sites that appeared on my page. It could take weeks for me to write all of them. Look over it, and see which ones appeal to you.

The U.S. is holding almost 20,000 Latin American children who have crossed the American border to escape the poverty and violence of their own countries.

Most of these are in huge, prison-like buildings. Well, in effect, they are prisoners. They are fleeing the violence and poverty of Latin America - a violence and poverty created by over a hundred years of American conquest, plundering and abuse -  with Canadian billionaires sharing.

The U.S. offers no education to these children. What will happen to these children? Nobody knows. Nobody cares.

Israel's behaviour in its attacks on Palestine are beneath contempt. And American support for those attacks is worse.

I say that with great sadness. I knew nothing of Jews until I entered grade 10 at one of the few Montreal schools that would accept them. Until then, I never new kids of high intelligence like them. Where I grew up, getting to great 9 was no mean feat. These Jewish boys came to school with every intention from the start of entering grad school.

I learned learned more about that when I became a speaker to 90 or so groups every year. In contrast to Jewish audiences, Christian churches needed lots of laughs. Jewish groups wanted serious discussiion. They were also, usually, more intelligent.

Alas! The Judaism of Israel was never like the Judaism I knew in Montreal.

Israeli Jews always hated Palestinans They abused those who lived on (quite legally) in Israel. They randomly shot even children across the border line. On one occasion it knowly attacked an American warship,  murdering  a large number of the crew.  No-one has ever known why.

Through all of this the U.S. has been supplying Israel with its weaponry including the explosives now destroying a Palestine which has never atttacked an  Israel.

What will the U.S. do? It will almost certainly finance and supply and murder more Palestinians.

I'm afraid the Israelis learned more from Hitler than they did from their own scriptures.

Where do Canadian Jews stand on this? I don't know. But I fear the worst.

I'm going to stop here because us old folks have limited mileage.  ( I hope to be livlier  when I get a pepping up session.)

But be assured there is nothing  to be cheerful about. Most of the world is in nonstop with the wealthiest of the world making their biggest profits in history while the rest of the world, including us poor folks are making less.  All over the world, there are more weapons than foods.

And the worst is yet to come as the super rich drive us further down.

As always throughout history, the very rich are driving all the rest of us deeper in poverty

No. Things are not getting better. And unless we wake up, they never will.

April 28: Never underestimate the power of greed.

 

It was ever thirty years ago the I last visited China. It was then a land of old and battered housing. There was wide poverty. Today it is a land of super high rise buildings,, including magnificent high rise apartments. And these apartments are available for all those who need them - with or without rent. The roads now can match some of the best of roads all over the world.

The railway and subway systems can match and exceed the best in the world.

The same is true   for the education system all the way through universities.

Forget the images of the old China. This was a China  blundered and plundered  by the British for over 150 years, with additional threats by the U.S. for over a hundred years. This is also the China that is still suffering from old enemies, with the U.S. more prominent now in happily threatening to allow pieces of China to be kept by the leaders of the old plundering world (Taiwan is an example) that stole it as a haven for their plundering days.

I'm not exaggerating. China today is a highly succesrul nation. It's industrial advance has been stunning for thirty years and more. Living conditions can now be favourably compared with the western world. In many respects, they are better. Unlike the US, China  does not have millions of its poor wandering (and living in) the filth and savagery of the streets.

In industrial conditions and advancement, China is likely to pass the U.S. within 15 years.

All of this is something the western press would prefer not to think of.

And so it is that the U.S. is rushing to the support of a small minority of Chinese who want to break away from China. (Well, not Chinese actually. Originally they were from what is now Turkey.  And those who want to break away are a minority within a minority. - but the American press doesn't like to waste ink by telling the truth. Ditto for the private news media in Canada.)

This of course would lead to a war of the U.S. against China,  with Canada at the side of the U.S. (From the Boer War to World War Two Canada fought British wars. Since then, it fights only American ones. Of course. Canada is the U.S. puppet now, I'm so thrilled we can kill other people to please our American friends.

But why would the U.S. want to fight such a war in the first place?

It needs this war because China is crippling American business.  Since 1945 the U.S. has been the dominent force in world trade. But in recent years, China has been advancing so rapidly in it's industry and trade that American dominance in these will, very soon, be history. We have ten years, maybe a little more, to think about that.

Meanwhile, the U.S. will be launching the biggest war in history with a very heavy reliance on  nuclear weapons. And millions, even billions may die. Do your part.

Give our soldiers little Canadian flags to wave.

April 21 Don't believe all you see in the news.

 While doing some research, I came across an organization which seems to be Canadian and American. It calls itself SumOfUs and it floats across our computers. Many of it's causes seem to be reasonable. But I was struck by it's bias on a lead issue.

It wanted you and me to send it money to attack China for mass killing of China's Uyughur tribes people. Oh, and that the American government is similarly threatening to attack China - for the same reason.

What's wrong with all that?

Well, for openers, the U.S. has been a world leader in mass murder for over 400 years. In fact, it's been very  busy as a mass murderer since 1949, killing millions, deliberately targeting children and babies for starvation, murdering and plundering all over Latin America and Africa----and let's remember that Canadian boot lickers sent police and troops to destroy and to murder democracy in Haiti. (a blessed gift to our good friends in the U.S. with a lobbering and drooling Canadian Legion wetting it's pants at the sigit..)

When the U.S. sent hired mercenaries to murder thousands of Roman Catholic missionaries, nuns and priests in Guatemala, not a whisper came  from SumOfUs. Both Canadian and American journalists were silent. In fact, this has never been made known. (one of the bodies was a Canadian. But, years after his murder, when his body was returned to New Brunswick, nobody - including the New Brunswick papers - said a word. (Nor did the Irvings say anything though he was buried where he grew up - in the home town of the Irvings.)

And where did SumofUs get it's information?

It all came from American news media. It had not a drop of any information from impartial news media. (Yes, it did quote the New York Times. But that is not, by any means, an impartial news medium.)

As nearly as I've been able to find, there has been some mistreatment of these people - but not nearly so much as this article claims. And there has also been a much greater spread of freedom for these people, an aspect SomeOfUs doesn't mention.    

You want brutality, murder, torture? Don't waste your time on China. Take a look at U.S. armies all over the world.

So what's going on here?

There are people in the U.S. who want a war with China. The great sin of China is that the U.S. wants the good old days when westerners,  especially the British, murdered and plundered China on a grand scale.

Incidentally, China has led the world in decent housing. It's the best. (I remember well what it used to be like in the days I was working there.) But out news media don't like discussing that.

However, you want an evil comparison with Chinese living accomodation?

Try the U.S. Try the tens of millions of impoverished Americans who live in the filth of the streets. (But SomeOfUs won't ever raise that issue.)

Today, China is the second biggest world trader. And its economy is headed for world leadership  SumOfUs is acting to please a world of corruption and decay amd greed/

Check out the March 19 edition for the story of Global Climate change. Contrary to the opinions of Alberta's Conservatives, everything is fine. But in the real world, we are facing the worst heat wave ever in recorded history.

And, for Ontario Conservatives it could be very bad indeed under the leadership of a provincial premier who has been a walking and incompetent ass.

But not to worry. Ontario voters will still, probably, vote for him. Nor would it matter if Ontario voters switched to Liberals. They're all the same breed.

While your at it, check out March 19 article on Rabble.ca. This one is something our government has not told us about. Ships of the Canadian navy are providing very provocative attacks on China's claims to its waters. And why are they doing this?

That's because kissing American asses is the major function for Canadian forces. This goes back to the days when dropped it's functions for the British, and switched over to the U.S. in Korea - a war that we had no stake in.

That's been the sort of thing that Canadians do now and that the Legion cheers for. We send Canadians to get killed to please Americans. That's what our flurry in Afghanistan was about. That's why we have troops in the middle east. That's why Canadians killed those Haitians who wanted democracy. But we were kissing the American ass - that's why we killed Haitians. The legion never talks about that. And most Canadian news media never even mention it.

There's a fascinating story by   Gwynne Dyer in his March 29 column. (Just punch in Gwynne Dyer on your coputer) . I knew him long ago when the world and I were young. Dyer then was a regular on CBC, and I had the pleasure of listening to him while I waited for my time on air. He now works out of Britain - and he's one of the best in the business of world affairs.

And he gives an account of the giant conntainer ship Ever Given got stuck and blocked the Suez Canada with its cargo of more than 18,000 box cars on the deck. And that sentence is about as much as the  commercial press has told us. But there is more, much more, to the story than that.

For a start, this monster ship, like most ships of it's type, carries goods from the poorest countries in the world. Those goods, commonly cheap all over the world, are carried to the western world by ships like Ever Given. So why do we import relatively cheap household goods from poor countries? 

That's because 1. we can hire desperately poor crews from those poor countries. and pay for them as crews who have to live on the ships when even in port - and live in the poverty that is all they have even known. And, 2. also because of those poor prices we can stock our stores with everything from  foods to lawnmowers to furniture to cars .......

(Meanwhile, of course, Americans and Canadians lose jobs. Another problem is that ships like Even Green use heavy bunker oil. And Ever Green, for example, produces as much pollution PER DAY as fifty million cars do..

Most of this won't be changed until  2030 - and probably not even then.The solution? Use the labour and money much closer to home. And produce the same furniture and lawn mowers and all the rest using western nations - especially the millions of Americans living on the streets.

But the bosses - like American, Canadians, Europeans - prefer to make extra profits with the present system.
